Booked (and pre-payed ) for a junior suite. Arrived in the room and looked smaller. Checked on the website for pictures and differences between junior suite and standard room. Pictures of our room was on the website and described as a standard room (double deluxe). Went to reception to complain but despite evidences (size, 3 rd bed availability etc) it was denied….

Great Hotel

I really do not understand the last three reviews. My husband and I have just stayed at the hotel and I thought the whole experience was of a very high standard. On arrival we were greeted by broad smiles and the hotel staff were all very polite and helpful. Our room was huge. Not the best view, but then we didn’t book a ‘room with a view’. Yes in parts maybe some areas need refurbishing but the age and history of the hotel excuses this I think. Our room was spotless. The breakfast was good, with lots of choice and endless. Hotel in great position and only a 15 minute walk to St. Mark’s Square. Would recommend.

3 star hotel at best. May have been 5 stars 30 years ago but the hotel has not been touched since. Rooms are dark, dirty and tatty and very run down. Service is average and location is in the poorer end of Venice. I recommend staying elsewhere. Take note of other reviews! Tried to speak to management but not around ever. Says it all
