Hi a few people as made some comets about this hotel put l can say from my experience this hotel is very good value for money. The food is very good. Also very clean and the staff very helpful. l would come here again. Mr v Sannino

Excellent Amalfi coast hotel

We booked the room with balcony sea view and it exceeded our expectations. We arrived late at night and the view of Bay of Naples, Naples and Vesuvius was mind blowing. Seeing it in daylight the next day was sensational. Even though the hotel is high up in the mountains the free bus service is excellent and just adds greatly to the whole experience. We found the room very comfortable, bathroom clean, and all the staff just so friendly & helpful. The buffet breakfast was very good though, one of the days, the scrambled egg & beans were a little cold. But it did not take away from this being an excellent location to explore Sorrento, Vesuvius, Pompeii and the coast. We loved it.

Awkward location, pleasant hotel

I have mixed feelings about this hotel, and would give it 3.5 if possible. The facility is lovely, the view is worth the name, and the staff are wonderful. The location should be noted - it is not convenient, far out of town, unsafe to walk on the road. Starting in April there is a hotel shuttle with a mostly reasonable schedule, but take note of the long break in the afternoon. The city bus is crowded and they seem to avoid competing with other more expensive options so do not increase their service as would be indicated in most places. The room we had was quite nice, but not well-equipped. A hotel of this caliber should do better. No hand lotion, no facial tissues, lightbulbs out. Breakfast was decent but not as good as it could be - eggs were only intermittently available and except for one day only hard-boiled. We had room service meals a couple of times and the food was really good but quite excessively salted, as another reviewer noted. I probably would choose a different hotel in the future, although I would miss the neighborhood donkey braying. He was darling.
