Great Stay - Amazing Staff

The hotel is centrally located and an easy walk into town. The rooms are exactly what one should expect in Italy, smaller, clean, and efficient. There is a 5th floor rooftop, which we took advantage of each night for an evening glass of wine. The pool is large, there is ample chairs, a bar, and staff that is beyond accommodating. Speaking of the staff, from the breakfast in the morning, to the front desk, to the bartenders, to the cleaning staff - EVERY single person was friendly, interacted with you, and went above and beyond to help if you asked something or needed something. On my next trip to Sorrento, I will once again be staying at Hotel Central.

Wonderful stay at the hotel, clean rooms reception area etc. large room, good breakfast service with a good variety of items. Amazing pool and sun lounge area. Good gym fitness centre facilities. We stayed several nights and had a wonderful time. Roof terrace has amazing views, hotel highly recommended

Okay, but not great

We booked the hotel last minute as part of our road trip through Italy. We managed to get the room for a very decent last minute discount making it relatively cheap for accommodation in Sorrento. The hotel was not what we expected. The negatives - It is located on the main road into Sorrento which, by itself, is ordinarily not an issue. However, the room we got faced the road and the terrace doors did not seal properly which meant the room was very loud from traffic noise all night. - The room was on the small side making it difficult to open suitcases, and was in need of a renovation with much of the furniture and equipment being acceptable but on the old side. - The walk to Sorrento is not long but there is almost no footpath making it very difficult and stressful with a pram. We found a safer back way but it was further. - The was no information pack in the room and nothing saying that the drinks in the mini bar were not free (they have been free in the majority of places we have stayed). They charged us for the couple of waters we drank The positives - it is on the cheaper side for accommodation in Sorrento which tends to be expensive compared to the rest of Italy. - the breakfast was very good - the staff were helpful and attentive - there was car parking (although it was paid and not accessible directly from the hotel) I think it's an okay hotel is acceptable if you take it for what it is.
