De boerderij is panoramisch gelegen in de provincie Messina, op slechts korte afstand van de zee en vlakbij Capo Calavà, Gioiosa Marea en de antieke Griekse kolonie van Tindari. Het biedt uitzicht op de Eolische Eilanden. Het gezinsvriendelijke ecohotel ligt op slechts 5 km van het centrum van de stad Patti. Hier vinden de gasten talloze winkels, restaurants, bars, uitgaansgelegenheden en aansluitingen op het openbaar vervoer, waaronder een bus- en treinstation. Het ligt ook op slechts 5 km van de zee. De stad Messina ligt op ongeveer 80 km afstand. De luchthaven Punta Raisi is de dichtstbijzijnde luchthaven, op ongeveer 180 km afstand en het is ongeveer 200 km naar de luchthaven Fontanarossa.Dit ouderwetse huis uit de achttiende eeuw, waar ook de eigenaars wonen, biedt een grote binnenplaats en wordt omringd door oude buitengebouwen (waaronder een stal, hooizolders, oliemolens en boerderijen) die deels zijn gerenoveerd en omgebouwd tot comfortabele accommodatie voor de gasten. De gasten kunnen het boerderijleven bekijken in een warme, gastvrije atmosfeer die wordt gegarandeerd door de warme, gastvrije bewoners. Kinderen en volwassenen kunnen de vele dieren bij de villa bekijken, waaronder schapen, fazanten, landschildpadden, cavia's, kippen, konijnen en honden. Dit hotel beschikt in totaal over 13 gastenkamers. De gasten worden verwelkomd in een ontvangsthal met een receptie die 24 uur per dag geopend is, een wisselkantoor, een garderobe en een hotelkluis. Really enjoyed staying here. Good signposts to get there and the sat nav took us straight there. Good location. Excellent authentic food. Great views. Never went to the swimming pool. Staff speak Excellent English and are very helpful and friendly. Suggest you ask about air conditioning if it is important to you. Also where we stayed was some distance from the restaurant. Not a problem for us but would be if someone had mobility problems. Go on the boat trip to the islands. The staff at the Hotel can book the tickets for you. This is a very nice place to stay.

Just back from a week at Agriturismo Santa Margherita in Sicily. A special treat for my sister and I. We had a lovely time the food was amazing and lots of it. So many cakes to choose from at breakfasttime! Our room was basic but clean and room service every other day with clean towels. We had a bit of trouble with electrics you need a three prong plug? Had to ask for one off cleaners We could not plug anything in with our travel adapters? The place is high up on side of mountain can not walk to beach and need a car to go anywhere which we had thankfully. Views amazing. Lots of cats and dogs around very friendly so make sure you are happy with animals around you at mealtimes. Pool area a bit of a trek from our room as whole area is spread out. No where to get drinks or snacks at poolside when we where there. Lots of sunbeds. Pool a little tired and needs updating small child's pool looks a little shabby/dirty. Need shoes or flip flops around Pool area as rough stones on ground cannot walk around barefoot. Overall a good holiday, friendly staff.

Sicilian gem

Having recently returned from a 3 night get away at santa margherita we wanted to share our very enjoyable experience. The hotel is high up in the hills giving it stunning sea views, definitely transport needed to reach it but we enjoyed the fact it was not a touristy location and really felt we got to experinece some authentic sicilian culture as the hotel is traditional and rustic which is what we were looking for and although not a modern hotel we had everything we needed including air conditioning and a fridge in the room. The room we stayed in, the restaurant and pool were a distance from one another but the short walk across the grounds were lovely and scenic with lime trees and cacti. The nearest town was about 10mins taxi away and the main city of messina alot futher so you would need abit more time to use this as a base for exploring. Great place to relax, the food was consistently of high quality and plenty of it, the set menu comes with wine and the surpise of not knowing what was on the menu meant we got to try so many different things but mostly we want to thank the staff here they were so friendly and attentive even with our poor language skills and a special thank you to the manager Giuseppe who looked after us from the moment we arrived and to Claudia who was so lovely and welcoming you both really made our stay such a memorabale one.
