Great little hotel for our family of 5. We stayed here October half term and loved it. Staff are very friendly. Would recommend a car as you can do so many day trips. We drove to mount Etna and did the cable car tour. The pool looks lovely and great if you want to do some diving. It isn’t heated but we got used to it after 5 minutes.

Disappointing

At first when we arrived the hotel was nice and clean. We were welcomed by a polite receptionist. Our room was clean / acceptable. The terrace was very dirty with fungus growing all over it. Unfortunately it went downhill since. Breakfast is extremely disappointing. You get plenty of sweet stuff - cakes, croissants, Nutella, jam, joghurts etc which may be good for some…. For savory option all you get is bacon, scrambled eggs ( not made from fresh eggs) , boiled eggs and bread. That’s it…. One day we asked the receptionist to order a taxi for us. The receptionist told us it was going to be 25 euro to a city which was 7 mins drive away. We thought this was going to be a certified cab. It wasn’t ! It was a private person, who is not a taxi driver , arrived in her private , barely driving car…. This woman was probably mid breakfast when she got a call to drive us to the station ! For comparison, we found plenty of people ( actual taxi drivers) that drove us for 10 euros from This exact location …. On top of that , on Monday and Tuesday the hotel organised parties for outsiders. It was extremely loud until 1am in the morning. Those two days we had to wake up early as we were sightseeing. Lastly…. We were leaving super early on Saturday so we asked for breakfast on the go. The attached is what we have got. Water and some biscuits…. What a joke…. The hotel is on the high hill. It takes around 15 minutes to reach the hotel from acitrezza however it is super steep and may be tiring for some. Overall, nothing special. Would not come back again.

Overall stay was very good. A few issues at check in, rooms not ready by 15:00. Lack of communications. Things got resolved and at 17:00 we got our rooms. Management handled the situation, and did the best they could. It was nice being in a hotel where the staff spoke English too. Rooms are very spacious, with comfortable beds and excellent AC. Bathroom was a good size. Over head shower had amazing pressure. Pool Bar - beautiful area set up with chairs, tables and sofas. A pity drinks are well over priced. €8.00 for a vodka, wasn’t worth it for us. Breakfast was impressive, with so much choice. Would I return back… YES! Location is great, you need a car but hotel is pretty central.
