Dit mooie resort in Cala Gonone is een goede keuze voor gezinnen. Het resort ligt op 500 meter van het stadscentrum waardoor vele bezienswaardigheden gemakkelijk te voet te bereiken zijn. Het resort ligt op wandelafstand van de belangrijkste uitgaansgebieden. De klanten kunnen de openbare transportmiddelen gemakkelijk bereiken. Perfect location in a beautifully maintained and friendly resort

We were a family of four and looking for a beautiful location, which had enough amenities to offer, while also having a tranquil and restful space to enjoy our holiday. The resort gave us this and more! I found all staff to be very helpful and friendly, especially as I made an effort to try and speak Italian! Nothing was ever too much trouble and we received help whenever we needed it. The restaurant staff at Il Borgo were particularly helpful, very kind- even helping us when my husband had a sea urchin injury- thank you so much! The music on the top terrace in the evening was magical and Gio the musician was exceptional! I will miss walking through the beautifully maintained grounds in the morning and walking down the steps to the pebble beach. The vista was exceptional and sun rise not to be missed! The town is lovely- not commercial in the slightest- such a lovely vibe- very authentic. We loved exploring the many seaside restaurants in the early evening. Overall a fabulous holiday and we hope to return one day!

location good, nice beach pools ok, hotel service bad, poor food, the only plus of cleaning service and beautiful scenery. I recommend a boat trip on the beaches. Delicious food in restaurants outside the hotel.

We are a Dutch couple without children and stayed for 10 days. We chose ‘bed & breakfast’, a good decision: there are lots of cosy restaurants with ocean view just a nice walk away from the hotel. Buildings and rooms are outdated, but our room was big and clean. Location is great: nice spacious swimming pool and beautiful beach and sea, definitely bring your snorkeling gear! All the staff and animators were working hard and helpful if needed, but still we would never go back because: - WiFi (only near reception) only worked for 2 of the 10 days we stayed here. We are no internet addicts but it’s inconvenient if you want to research excursions or check in, etc. - Breakfast was OK, but chaotic if you’re there after 9. Long lines for espresso, coffee is terrible (Italy should be ashamed!) Plastic cups, every day we missed something else (spoons, bread… always a surprise). Staff was working hard but I think there are organisation issues. We were happy to NOT have booked dinner at the hotel… - We felt unwelcome sometimes, because of ALL the rules: like paying extra for the beach if you’re not an all inclusive guest. Also, on day 3 we were told, you cannot use two sunbeds on the beach, but only a sunbed and a chair…so you just have to decide who gets to lie down and who has to sit . This was the weirdest thing and we had to switch one of our beds for a chair. I definitely think we overpaid for what we got, but we did enjoy our holiday. I think the animation is a big plus, not for us, but especially for Italian kids. We did not understand a lot of Italian but could see they worked hard to put on some nice shows and Sardinia and Cala Gonone are so beautiful! My tips for the hotel: - Please consider the environment more: no plastic cups! We also would not mind using our towels twice, but there is no option to let the staff know you don’t want a towel change. Use refillable dispensers in the bathrooms, instead of all the plastic disposables. Don’t charge people for swimming caps they won’t use after their holiday: ask for a deposit, lend them, wash and reuse. - Provide better information in English what is included and what not, when checking in! Or put English/Italian information in the rooms, for example about the use of the beach. - Provide better coffee please, this is ITALY! - Fix the WiFi, it’s 2022. It’s definitely a hotel problem, because lots of restaurants in Cala Gonone had steady, fast wifi… And if you don’t provide wifi in the rooms, please make sure the wifi at the reception works all the time.
