Firstly, the location is amazing and it can’t be faulted. Right across from the boat terminal and plenty of happy friendly people to help if needed which was fantastic. Unfortunately this hotel is dated and the 4 stars it has is a bit generous. The bed was exceptionally stiff, the hallways noisey and the room decor dated. If it had a renovation it would be very close to a 5 star but unfortunately it’s just a bit mediocre in the room. Some will say it’s character and charm but it’s not enjoyable to me.

Location is very good,right next to the lake and also walking distance from the train station.my wife and I stayed on the 5th floor room no 52, the room was a little disappointing, the decor is dated and needs upgrading. Bathroom was a decent size but the shower cubicle is very small. For a 4 star hotel there was no tea or coffee making facilities,which was very disappointing. There are plenty of shops and restaurants nearby. Breakfast was plentiful even for us vegetarians and and quality.

I won’t throw her under the bus, but I bet her colleagues know who I’m talking about Bathroom door wouldn’t close Hairdryer burnt out in use Toilet wouldn’t stop flushing Shower was terrible You could hear every door slam down the hall at night I think they were Morris dancing in the room above, and we knew EXACTLY what they were doing in the room next door. It went on for ages (good work sir!) No English language TV channels. Is that too much to ask for in a tourist spot hotel? Couldn’t leave anything charging during the day as there is a little key thing that turns everything off when you leave the room Room with a view was on the first floor overlooking maintenance work Bad comms. I had to email twice before I received a reply about parking, and no reply to my enquiry about changing our room €600 for 3 nights
