Average hotel and in a good location for exploring Dublin. Check-in was later than they advertise, we had to go to town in that time. The key card sometimes did not open the door, had to try several times to open it. The room had uneven floor, window was drafty and we could hear the night bar downstairs. Across the street was a construction site, building in process.

So...I had read lots of bad things about this hotel and I must say they were only 50 % true. First of all I liked the personnel, very helpful, polite and nice, from the receptionists to the cleaning personnel. Our 2 rooms were located in the basement with a window, but still they were pretty dark. One of the room was very big, the other one was a normal size. Beds were ok, bed linen were veeery old with pilings. There is lots of Barry Tea and Instant coffee in the room. Now the worse things: the cleaning was ok, but the room and moquette was so old that you cannot do much with cleaning; the bathroms are like airplane ones very small totally old fashioned and simply not comfy. There was not additional hair dryer a part fromt one of those old ones where you can charge your razor as well which are very bad for the hair because they do not dry up anything. USB charging stations were not working. And now the 2 worst things of all: 1) the room temperature was extemely high and the noise. We were there on a monday so at least there was no noise coming from the club nearby or we did not hear anything anyway bu the room itself has no good sound insulation so you hear every little noise from upstairs, from the room close to yours, from the outside and so on. This was disturbing. Plus, from my room I could not even open the windown or the curtains since we were adjacent to the beer garden where oher guests were smoking or having breakfast. Still I am giving 3 stars to the hotel because I know Dublin very well and the other hotels and their offer and this is absolutely standard for a budget (still very expensive, but for Dublin it is cheap) hotel. In the end usually if you visit Dublin you are not spending much time inside. So, to conclude if you can find something better for the same price then better go elsewhere, if you cant then you will not die ;) the hotel is overall ok.

Would not stay in this hotel again we stayed on Sunday the 7th May, arrived just after 4pm to check in the lady on reception was very lovely sadly this is were it all went downhill. We got to our room 1108 which is located in another building from the hotel as soon as we arrived in our room we heard loud music and was horrified to look out our window to see we were looking straight into a beer garden of a club, the room was small and dated nothing like the pictures advertised you couldn’t swing a cat in the bathroom and there was a usb plug socket by the bed that didn’t work.We were not notified about the club being outside our room upon checking in. We headed out to attend a concert hoping by the time we would return it will have finished being a Sunday night sadly it did not. We arrived back at our hotel just after 11 to even louder music and people cheering , shouting , singing etc and this continued we ended up ringing reception after midnight as we couldn’t sleep there response was there was a private function on and it will hopefully finish soon!!! There was nothing they would do. Not to mention the sound off footsteps etc from the room above us thought they were going to come through the ceiling. The toilet when flushing also sounded like it was on its way out. It took us to well after 2am to get some sleep. That morning we went to get breakfast which had a good selection. Upon us checking out we again had another chat with reception and we explained our concerns and dissatisfaction and was just told that it does mention on their website that there is a nightclub!! . Very expensive horrible one night stay avoid!!
