Dit hotel heeft een fantastische locatie in het centrum van de stad, vlakbij Dublin's beroemde O'Connell Street met het spectaculaire ""Spire"". Veel winkels en attracties kunt u gemakkelijk te voet bereiken. De nieuwe LUAS-tram ligt op slechts 3 minuten afstand en 2 grote stations zijn gemakkelijk bereikbaar vanaf het hotel. De stadsrondleidingen door Dublin beginnen en eindigen aan de andere kant van de straat tegenover het hotel. De halte van de luchthaven express vindt u op de vlakbij gelegen O'Connell Street. De luchthaven kunt u in ca. 20 minuten bereiken.Dit cityhotel is in 2007 gerenoveerd en heeft 7 verdiepingen met in totaal 304 kamers. Tot de voorzieningen behoren een ontvangsthal, 2 restaurants, een bar en een speelkamer. Rude staff on reception, not welcoming at all or helpful felt like an inconvenience. Expected more for the money spent.manager informed didn't care. Great staff on the bar breakfast lovely great selection of food. .small room

Disappointed !!

I was very disappointed in this hotel. I booked because it was the one used at the end of a bus tour. The room was a hostel type room - very small - but the price was very high. I expected more. I was having a medical issue and having a hard time walking so found the small room very hard to negotiate. Smaller than a dorm room! On the positive side, the staff (with a few exceptions) were very helpful and the breakfast was good. I wish I had read some of the other reviews before booking this hotel!! I had stayed at the Clayton Ballsbridge at the start of my trip - much superior and cheaper. If I travel to Dublin again I will not be staying at the Academy Plaza hotel. Also overcharged by the taxi going to the airport - not a happy ending ...

Great one night stay, excellent staff

I booked a room after my flight was delayed last night. I was bleary eyed getting into the city centre at around 1am, but the hotel was perfectly located — after getting off the 41 bus on O’Connell Street, it was just around the corner. The staff were pleasant staff, the room was modern and very comfortable, USB outlets were handy with the plug socket, and there was a good breakfast. Dearbhla was helpfully at reception.
