Will start with the good. 2 min walk to town, 10 min walk to beach. Excellent staff. Now the bad: Terrible hotel. Food was inedible, cold & never enough. They ran out of burgers & replaced with frozen peas! They are trying to cook English food, with disastrous results. No authentic Greek food. Jars of olives instead of fresh, nasty, mushy salads, pre-bought desserts brought over (uncovered) from sister hotel. Be prepared to get your own cutlery as the tables stopped being set up two days after we arrived. We stayed for 10 days & the room was cleaned twice in that time. Entertainment is one & half hours of Greek dancing on Sat night, nothing else. Parasol frames, but no umbrella's attached. Children's pool only started to get filled the day we left. The water stopped working so you couldn't wash/shower/flush toilet/clean teeth. When the shower did work, it went from freezing to scalding. We spoke to a Tui rep who was as bad as the hotel! Every question was answered with 'I don't know'. It's their job to know!!! I felt sorry for the staff, they all looked totally fed up. Everybody was complaining, but nothing appeared to be done about the complaints. Avoid this hotel. The whole experience has put me off visiting Zante, we won't go back.

Basic but satisfactory. Beds were firm. Hygeine was decent apart from the upper pool was full of bugs. Food was plain, edible and uninteresting. Overall experience pleasant. We will go b&b next time.

Arrived just after the bank holiday weekend for a weeks stay. On arrival we were advised our room wasn’t ready, not an issue, so was advised to head to be bar for a drink. At the bar was a disgruntled chap who proceeded to advise all new arrivals how crap the food was…. Great start! Rooms are very basic, but you don’t spend a lot of time in there, however you do expect small things like a plug in your sink. Our room was interconnecting. Even though the door was locked we could literally hear everything, and I mean everything, from the room next door. Cigarette end found in the wardrobe, filthy floors and the hair dryer blew up on my half way through using. Hot water was a luxury, we had it twice in a 7 day stay. Maids only changed our towels and cleaned our room once during our stay. Reported to reception….. not interested. Food…… breakfast was OK and we always found something. Dinner….. don’t bother Tea….. if you can find something within 10 minutes of the restaurant opening you’re lucky. We ate out most nights just to get some decent food. Hotel is dated and needs attention. Whilst I appreciate it is a 3 star, you do expect a standard of cleanliness and food. This hotel had neither. The hotel is in an ideal location for bars and restaurants. Beach is a 10 min walk away and for those staying it’s 30-40 mins away, I’m unsure as to which route they took. Overall, the staff were amazing, however you could see the strain on them and I think towards the last few days of our stay, they’d given up, especially the young lad who works the breakfast shift. We provided feedback to the rep that the hotel was nowhere near ready for opening, so extremely frustrated that TUI continued to fill the hotel. This hotel does not cater for children. There is nothing for them to do. Overall, we had a lovely holiday as we made the most of a bad situation and it was better than working. Please think twice before booking this hotel. Also, avoid their sister hotel next door…. That was worse than ours!
