Good value small family hotel

The Pelagia Bay is a nice budget hotel, we stayed half board in May 2023. The staff are friendly and helpful. We stayed half board and found the buffet at breakfast and diner met our needs, there wasn't a huge choice and the food was tasty, it isn't a big all inclusive hotel so don't expect an all inclusive choice. The room was clean with a nice balcony, the room had a kettle and a fridge at no additional cost, the grounds were well kept and attractive. We didn't spend much time in the bar or by the pool as it's not really what we are after on holiday but they nice areas. Agia Pelagia beach is a downhill walk which a 15minute away and a steep walk back uphill, I would say the hotel isn't really suitable for someone with poor mobility issues as there are steps down to reception, the bar, the pool, the buffet & the hotel rooms, this with walk to Agia Pelagia would spoil your holiday if you have mobility issues. We would recommend this hotel for anyone wanting to explore central Crete especially if you're hiring a car, we had no complaints.

Wow this was a very nice hotel.,Yannis,Lucy and the rest of the staff were excellent nothing but making you feel welcome.Room it self was very large but basic but met all our needs ,throughout the holiday.My husband and I enjoyed our holiday from start to finish only because of the people working at this hotel they never stopped working to make you have an enjoyable experience.We would like to Thank Yannis and Lucy for a great atmosphere and making sure our time at the hotel was special The location is nice over looking the fields then out to sea however there are alot of steps so if you have mobility problems this hotel would not be for you as the hotel is top of hill, you can walk down to beach takes about 15minutes slow walk.We got a taxi back which cost €5 due to the steep hills.Well worth it. Small beach with bars and supermarkets but lovely outlook from coast line.

A really great place to vacation when you want to relax. The food is good, the staff is the best I've ever met. Yannis, Lucy and of course Mr. Stefanos are absolutely great. The best service I have ever received. A small cozy place, I recommend it. Definedly will come back again.
