Thank you to all the fab staff at the Divani Palace Hotel, Corfu. Thanassis gave us bus tips on arrival at 11 pm! Buy tickets from the mini market to save money, not on bus! Restaurant staff so professional and helpful, and a laugh! Tokis, Maria plus Christos at pool bar too. Short bus ride to buzzing Corfu Town where eating out won't break the bank. Rooms clean and overlooking lagoon and airport runway. Woukd go again and recommend this quiet and civized hotel situated near Kanoni Sq up the hill which is definitely worth a visit. Not to mention Mon Repos.

Brilliant location

This place is fantastic, for August it wasn’t too busy. The hotel itself has amazing views and you can walk to Kanoli which has even better views and you can get a bus straight into Corfu town at €1.70 one way! You can also get a bus back from Kanoli for same price as i wouldn’t recommend walking in the dark as it’s a main road as long as you have your whits about you you will be fine. The breakfast here is one of the nicest Buffett breakfasts I have had in a Greek hotel . Plenty of selection and very fresh and hot! Pool area is nice but bar was a little overpriced! Thanks for a lovely comfortable stay!

The breakfast was excellent. The staff were so friendly. The pool was exceptionally clean and big. There was never any issue getting a lounger or chair at the pool. We loved the quiet location. The restaurant food is reasonably priced but the drinks are expensive (5 euro for a can of coke). However, there were a few mini markets close by to buy snacks and drinks and keep them in your fridge in the room. Location - there were a couple of nice restaurants within a ten-minute walk. Also, an excellent ice cream place next door to the hotel. The bus runs right outside the hotel (take the 2A to Old Town if you want a more lively evening/day time). Also, there are very few pavements. We walked down to the Monastery at the bottom of the peninsula (be warned there are a fair few steep steps down or you can walk the road way) and watched the planes land. There is also a tiny beach here. The bus can take you further afield to other beaches, if you wanted. This is a great base for either a poolside relax or as a base to explore the island. The bus runs very regularly and is 5 euros for a day pass or 1.70 euro for a single trip. There are also a few things within walking distance if you are up for hiking in the heat. For example, Mon Repos is about a twenty minute walk. We also walked to and from the airport so we could explore the immediate area - it is a little dicey but not impossible. We couldn’t hear the noise of the planes from our room at all but we were around the back if the hotel. Minor negatives: The soft drinks prices were high. The shower was not easy to negotiate - we had to hold the shower head to shower, however this didn’t bother us, but it might be an issue for some.
