Dit hotel ligt in de pittoreske omgeving van het schiereiland Kanoni. Het ligt iets ten zuiden van de stad Corfu, aan de oostkust van het eiland. Het biedt uitzicht op een van de bekendste bezienswaardigheden van de Ionische eilanden, de kleine kapel op Pontikonisi en het klooster op Vlacherna. Het is een rustig resort met vele zand- en kiezelstranden en kleine, beschutte baaien. Het ligt vlakbij de stad Corfu en de gasten bereiken de voorzieningen van de hoofdstad dan ook snel en kunnen toch genieten van de rust van het resort. Het busstation ligt direct bij het resort en de internationale luchthaven Corfu ligt op ongeveer 1 km afstand.Het resort is genoemd naar 'Ariti', de vrouw van de Koning van de Feniciërs, die de vermoeide Odysseus zo'n warm welkom bereidde. Het is recent volledig gerenoveerd en biedt een uitgebreide, goed ingerichte lounge die toegang biedt een tot een groot terras met adembenemend uitzicht op de lagune en het centrum van het eiland. Het beschikt in totaal over 156 kamers en het resort biedt een ontvangsthal met een 24 uur per dag geopende receptie en uitcheckservice, een hotelkluis, een lift, een café, een bar en een restaurant. Conferentiefaciliteiten, was- en roomservice en parkeergelegenheid zijn ook beschikbaar.De gastenkamers bieden moderne voorzieningen als airconditioning en centrale verwarming, een eigen badkamer met een bad en een haardroger, een televisie, een telefoon, een koelkastje en een balkon. De gasten hebben op hun kamers de beschikking over internettoegang om in contact te blijven met vrienden, familie of collega's.

An unpleasant experience all-in-all

It didnt live up to our expectations. This is not a 4star hotel, maybe it was 50years ago, but not by todays standards. Everything is old and smells old. They placed us in a room with 2 small beds, one beside the other, on wheels and easily movable simply by laying on it, not suitable for a couple. The room was smelling unpleasantly, it had spiders, and the balcony was dirty. All in all a subpar experience.

Fine, but does not live up to 4 stars

Maybe I am spoiled by staying in 4 star hotels. But the only thing 4 star about Ariti was the staff. Expect a typical, warm Greek welcome on arrival. As is typical, staff cannot do enough for you. But that is where it ends. Tired room, uncomfortable bed (and I mean, I hardly slept during my 2 night stay), poorly lit bathroom (but with a decent over-bath shower). My room didn’t get any sunlight during the day (which is fine, I was on business). Balcony was tiny. Swimming pool was either painted to look like it had sand or was with sand inside, either way, it looked filthy and uninviting. There was some sort of circular pool which again looked filthy. Several areas of the hotel lacked basic maintenance. There is the option of the pool bar during the day - terrace bar is closed until 8pm after breakfast. Real fast selection was vast but uninspiring, but the hotel was deserted during the day until ‘feeding time’. We didn’t bother with lunch or dinner in the hotel, all of which are buffet style. All of this is unfortunate, but the property advertises itself as 4 star, which it certainly was not. It’s a shame that with the grants that the Greek government is giving to tourism that the owners do not do a major overhaul. Location convenient for the airport, and can be a little noisy with planes landing and departing. Be careful of taxis - my Greek colleagues typically paid 30% less for taxis than I did. Ask for a metered fare. I understand that Covid has hit tourism on the island very very hard, but again, there is an expectation from a four star property which was not met. Photos here on Tripadvisor look very nice. The view is stunning but they do not show the tired, neglected feel of the property.

Excellent hotel ! I got there with my girlfriend for the weekend of May Day and everything was great. Also the room was really clean and large . Last but not least, the food was picture perfect...What an experience! I highly recommend Ariti Hotel !!!
