We stayed here 2 nights here when we weren't able to finish our River Viking cruise due to the low water levels. Very nice hotel & in a good area. We did lots of walking around this beautiful city. Very nice stay-had breakfast in the mornings here. Had a nice view from room 826.

Another enjoyable stay

Spacious room, complimentary minibar, enjoyable breakfast buffet, very friendly staff. The parking is super narrow with today’s huge cars but I managed. The bar on the 12th floor has a view over Cologne and the dome and extraordinary cocktails next to the classics, excellent service.

Great hotel pity about staff member at check out

Great hotel with smooth check in. Was easy walking distance to nightlife and the dom. Facilities were good..... used the sauna but unfortunately the steamroom was out of action at the time. Room was large with a few mini bar, why only a 4 star rating I had the rudest person at check out. First of all she appeared to be stuck in the pc and ignored me, I didn't mind this so much so waited to be called. She asked was it business or pleasure and I told her pleasure. She said I owed money for tourist tax. I said that nobody told me this and I thought all taxes were paid. I got a flat NO. I said excuse me..... I'm the customer here and your attitude is terrible. As she was calculating the tax......I found my booking which I have her........ she then went to a back room and came out...... no apology..... said that's fine. I told her she needs to do some training..... was shocked by the attitude.
