I have visited this hotel on February and I was satisfied. Clean, polite personel, top location, good breakfast, fair prices. Close to the hotel you can find American and German restaurants with nice food. You can visit the museum which is a 5 minute walk from the hotel next to the river. I highly recommend it.

Brilliant Berlin break

I spent a superb four nights here with a family member (my sister) to explore the city of Berlin. Having stayed here before I was expecting the high standards of service, cleanliness and professionalism that I'd experienced before. I wasn't disappointed, from the friendly reception and booking in, to the standard if room, everything was as I recalled. The hotel is in remarkably short walking distance of all the major sites. A stroll down Schiffbauerdamm, on which the hotel is situated, will quickly take you to the Reichstag, Brandenburg Gate, Holocaust Memorial and much much more. Unter den Linden, Checkpoint Charlie and Alexanderplatz are all equally well within walking distance and almost as interesting is the history that you pass along the way. All staff interact with the guests with a smile and you really feel that nothing is too much trouble. Checking out was a simple, painless affair and leaving our bags safely in the hotel for a couple of hours til we were ready for departure was equally no problem. This hotel is highly recommended by this traveller and his travelling companion. The next time I'm in Berlin - you'll find me here.

Mitte means center

We reserved the smallest room (comfort) and immediately realized that we would need to upgrade to the superior room. I am traveling with my aunt and we need 2 beds. The comfort room was so small that the 2 beds were together with little space to move on the sides. It was not suitable for us. The pictures do show all the twin beds together, but naturally we assumed that they could be separated. When we asked about changing rooms, the delightful woman at the front desk (Victoria) graciously offered to show us the options available for the bigger rooms. We viewed the executive and superior rooms and were happy to pay the 15 Euro more for the superior room. Well worth the extra money given the difference in size. Now that we were settled with our room, we were off to explore Berlin. The location of this hotel is ideal. I learned that Mitte means center and surely this hotel is centrally located. Easy to find and easy to get to/ from. A special thank you to Victoria and her colleague at the front desk. We were very pleased with our experience at the Leonardo Berlin Mitte and would recommend to others.
