Dit hotel van de hogere categorie is schilderachtig gelegen direct aan zee, boven de nieuw aangelegde jachthaven van Puerto Calero. Deze kunt u gemakkelijk over de kustpromenade bereiken en biedt diverse winkel- en amusementsmogelijkheden. Doordat het hotel vlakbij de belangrijkste bezienswaardigheden ligt, is het een ideaal startpunt voor uitstapjes. Een halte van het openbaar vervoer bereikt u na ongeveer 300 m. Naar de plaats Puerto del Carmen is het ongeveer 5 km.Het hotelcomplex werd in 2003 geopend en beschikt over in totaal 335 kamers, waarvan 46 suites, verdeeld over 8 verdiepingen. Het biedt zijn gasten een receptiegedeelte met liften en een 24-uursreceptie. Tevens zijn er meerdere restaurants. Verder behoren bars en conferentieruimtes tot de voorzieningen van het hotel. Gasten kunnen gebruik maken van een computerhoek met printer en internetaansluiting. De kleine gasten kunnen zich vermaken in de miniclub. Op aanvraag en tegen betaling kan een babysitter op uw kinderen passen.De kamers zijn modern en attractief ingericht en bieden volop comfort. De kamers beschikken over een tweepersoonsbed en een badkamer met ligbad. Tot de technische voorzieningen behoren een satelliet-/kabeltelevisie, radio, minibar, kluis, internetaansluiting en een telefoon. Vanaf het balkon of terras heeft u een mooi uitzicht over het complex.De gasten kunnen zich ontspannen in het ruim aangelegde en goed onderhouden buitengedeelte met 3 zwembaden en een apart kinderbad. Het zwembadgedeelte wordt omgeven door een zonneterras, waar voldoende ligstoelen en parasols voor de gasten beschikbaar zijn. Vanuit de pool-/snackbar heeft u een schitterend uitzicht over zee. Tegen betaling kunt u gebruik maken van het wellnessaanbod, zoals massages, een stoombad, een sauna of diverse schoonheidsbehandelingen. Sportliefhebbers kunnen tennis en squash spelen, biljarten of aan aquarobic doen.

Too quiet, understaffed and blighted by a theft from my room . I have been underwhelmed by my visitor to Secrets Lanzarote . Even when “upgrading “ to unlimited luxury , it’s far from luxurious… some of the team are great but on the whole it’s not a place I would recommend

Relaxing massage

The staff in the spa were excellent. We had a warm welcome and the massages my husband and I had from Victoria and Maria were amazing! We were so relaxed afterwards. Thank you, will come again.

A very relaxing stay at the Secrets!

I spent 5 nights at the Secrets Hotel with my girlfriend. We booked through TUI and had taxi transfer to and from the resort included which we really valued! On arrival, the staff were very friendly, assisting us with our luggage and we enjoyed a complimentary glass of Cava. We were allocated room 610 which was very clean and modern with a large TV and a nice sea view. We had read previous reviews about noise from the bar area in the hotel, but found the hotel to be very quiet at night (at least from our room!). A big plus about the hotel was how friendly the staff are, particularly at breakfast where nothing seemed to be to be too much for them. They all clearly love their jobs! The breakfast quality was amongst the best we have experienced for a resort hotel with a good selection including pastries, fruit, cooked breakfast (including omelettes, poached and fried eggs made to order) and even Cava. The pool area was busy but we always found space. The tier system (normal vs "preferred") does seem a bit unusual for a 5* hotel. With the preferred club you get a few perks including access to the lounge, breakfast in the Portofino restaurant and access to an exclusive pool area. We were glad we did not opt for this which, in our opinion, wasn't worth the additional money. The facilities we had access to were more than enough and the preferred pool area appeared just as busy as the other areas. We paid for spa access which was on special offer during our stay. The spa was very clean and well equipped, although for our 5 night stay, I don't think it would have been worth it without the discount. The activities put on by the hotel were great fun particularly the cocktail and sangria workshops. We are glad we did not go half board or all inclusive and can highly recommend a short evening walk to the marina where there are a few nice restaurants including La Portena (an Argentinian restaurant with a lovely welcoming owner) and the Sushi Bar. We would also recommend a walk to Puerto del Carmen which is less than an hour away on foot, and a trip to "Bodega Stratvs" for wine tasting (best to drive or get a taxi for this). On departing, the hotel arranged a courtesy room for half an hour so we could change and have a shower. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and recommend this hotel for those looking for a relaxing break in Lanzarote.
