Dit appartementenhotel ligt in Playa Blanca, een rustige vissersplaats in de gemeente Yaiza in het zuiden van Lanzarote. Het heeft zijn eigen karakter en atmosfeer weten te behouden ondanks de opkomst van het massatoerisme. Het ligt tegenover het eiland Fuerteventura, dat via de dagelijks uit Playa Blanca vertrekkende veerboten te bereiken is. Restaurants, bars, uitgaansgelegenheden, haltes van het openbaar vervoer en mogelijkheden om te winkelen zijn alle in het centrum van Playa Blanca te vinden, op ongeveer 10 minuten rijden van het hotel. De luchthaven van Lanzarote ligt op ongeveer 80 kilometer afstand.Dit complex ligt niet ver van het gouden zand van Playa Dorada en is een uitstekende keuze voor gezinsvakanties, het biedt lichte en schone accommodatie op een rustige plek. Het heeft 2 verdiepingen met in totaal 200 kamers. Het gebouw is voorzien van airconditioning en heeft een ontvangsthal met een 24 uur per dag geopende receptie en check-out service, een hotelkluis, een wisselkantoor, een garderobe, een lift, een café, een kleine supermarkt, een bar, een televisielounge, een restaurant, internetaansluiting (tegen betaling) en fietsenverhuur. Voor gasten die met de auto arriveren, is parkeergelegenheid beschikbaar. Voor de jonge gasten is er een kinderspeelplaats en een kinderclub.De appartementen hebben een eigen badkamer met haardroger, een telefoon, een televisie, een keuken met koelkast, magnetron en mogelijkheid om zelf thee en koffie te zetten, tweepersoonsbedden, een kluisje en een balkon of een terras.Het dichtbijgelegen zand- en kiezelstrand is voorzien van ligstoelen en parasols (beide tegen betaling). The cleaners hardly came we were there 8 days they came twice , out towels were changed twice when we asked cleaner for new towels she said tomorrow we were going home that day !! no way is it 4 star foods ok but tables outside are tables that you have around a pool no table service no cutlery put outside and insides like a canteen too hot to eat in, cocktails are not cocktails unless you pay for one and bar shuts at 11 which was fine as all entertainment was all in French no attempt to translate at all , Reception let us use the THB Tropical which was slightly more international but cleaners and eating area spoilt it I thought I was having 8 days with my husband at a 4 start hotel we made the most of it as Playa Blanca is lovely but would definitely not go back

Nice stay for a short time

First off, the hotel is very nice and the rooms we found to be clean and spacious. We had the all inclusive option and the food was nice - enjoyed the verity each day but found some of the food to be disappointing. We did find the times a little restrictive for food and the bar - we also found it strange that the food truck closes on particular days as we'd like to have used that more. So to get it out of the way, as many people have said in their previous reviews, this hotel appears to accommodate french tourists mainly - so the main pool and activists were in french, evening entertainment also french and alot of the guests were french - but for me, that is not an issue as we'd preferred the quiet pool in general and evening entertainment is not really our vibe. We absolutely loved the quiet pool though, great views and sun access - as well as areas of shade - would note that the pool was absolutely freezing but was nice once you got used to it. Very easy to park outside if you're driving and the beach / town area down the road was also gorgeous! Most activity will also pick up from the hotel or very near by so that great too! Our biggest issues with this place was the two single beds which seemed to very easily separate - not great for couples and the WiFi was absolutely atrocious - barely worked throughout the time we were there (mainly in our room) so the smart TV was really just a TV. English channels were available on the newer one in the bedroom but not from the main living room. The onsite supermarket seemed to only accept cash and refused any attempts for card - terrible customer service as well - would recommend shopping in town instead. Overall... A very enjoyable stay - would likely try the other thb hotel very near by instead next time though.

Good hotel shame about the over noisy all pervasive so called "entertainment"

Just returned from a 7 day jet2 Package holiday staying at the THB Royal at Playa Blanca in Lanzarote. There are a lot of good things about this hotel. The food is very good, The catering/bar-staff and house keeping services are excellent. The garden areas are well kept and the plants and palm trees are beautiful. That's the good bit...... We checked into our Junior suite (room 401) the room was adequate. We found out very soon that its biggest drawback was that it was adjacent I mean very adjacent to a very loud bass booming disco. Even noisier were the bawling DJs. Horrific! A show followed - more bawling and yelling followed by more disco. This with minor variation was the pattern for the week. I asked at reception to be moved. They told me that would be possible in the morning. So we endured. The next morning we were offered other room choices which we visited also the choice of a move to their sister hotel which we visited. In the end we moved to another room. The noise from the "entertainment" and "pool entertainment*, (2 sessions per day either side of lunch) which again consisted of mostly over amplified loud yelling and loud music, was less, but still beyond comfortable and only just bearable. All entertainment and announcements were solely in French. In fairness there is another quieter pool. As our room was of a lower standard we were upgraded from B&B to all inclusive which we appreciated. However the air conditioning in our room did not work. The door and single large window could not be left open for cooling as the ground floor room would be insecure. Reception were advised of this twice and I asked if this could not be fixed could they put a fan in our room. No communication and no fan arrived before our departure. In short unless you are prepared to partake in loud disco and entertainment then this is not the hotel for you.
