Fantastic hotel!

This hotel is a wonderful place to stay! The location is absolutely perfect - minutes away from the main train station, steps away from restaurants, shopping and history!! I cannot say enough good things about the location!! Now for the hotel - better then I could have expected!! The positives - staff, very friendly and helpful, the beds were comfortable, the shower was very refreshing, the room (and lobby) were very clean!!! Our room was extremely quiet!! Now for what some people may consider “negative “. The room was extremely small, only one person could walk around the beds at a time. There was no mini fridge, coffee maker or dresser. We did not find a problem with this. The price was very good, and we only spent time in the room to sleep and shower. If you are looking for a large room to lounge in, look for a different place. If you are looking for an extremely clean hotel in the middle of Brussels, do not look any further!!!

Not Grand - But Nice Place!

Wonderful location! More ON Grand Place than Off! Only a few steps from the Central Station. Staff, lobby and building were excellent. The small room, however, (#10) had some minor flaws. The 'ikea-like' furnishings seemed crammed into the room. My wardrobe was unusable as it was blocked by the desk. The beds were small and uncomfortable - very thin mattresses. The bathroom was nice - but the shower doors didn't close correctly, causing floors to easily get soaked. Towels were rough on the skin. The fan vent about the toilet was not clean. The breakfast was was delicious and quite extensive - but not included in my stay and cost me an extra 17 euros to try. Worth it once - but not daily. Recommended when in central Brussels.

Good location

With the exception of my recent stay in the Ibis in Bruges I've always found Ibis hotels to be a good choice, generally nothing fancy but you know what you're likely to get and they're decent places to stay. This Ibis in Brussels is in an excellent location a 5 minute walk from the Grand Place and very close to central station, from where you can get a train to Midi/Nord station one stop away very quickly. Breakfast was a decent selection and is taken in a quite spacious area on the ground floor of the hotel. For the 3 nights that I was staying and had breakfast the area wasn't too crowded. My room was a good size, the bed was comfy and noise didn't seem to carry from the other rooms. I don't particularly like what the hotel have installed for hanging clothes but that's a very minor issue. The window in the room opened, which might not bother some people but I hate the stuffy feel of being stuck in a hotel room where the windows don't open so this is a huge plus point for me. The staff that we dealt with were helpful. There are lockers to leave suitcases in on the ground floor but if all these are used (there aren't that many considering the size of the hotel) reception can store your luggage for you. I'd certainly stay here again on any future stays in Brussels.
