Het moderne cityhotel bevindt zich midden in het centrum, vlakbij de Plaza de España. In de nabijheid van het hotel vindt u tal van mogelijkheden om te winkelen, restaurants en bars. Het strand vindt u ca. 2,5 km van het hotel vandaan en kunt u met het openbaar vervoer gemakkelijk bereiken (de halte van het openbaar vervoer ligt op ca. 500 meter).Het hotel werd in 2002 geopend en heeft, verdeeld over 8 verdiepingen, in totaal 77 kamers, waarvan 71 tweepersoonskamers en 6 Junior suites. In de ontvangsthal van het hotel is er voor de gasten een receptie die 24 uur per dag geopend is, lift, een hotelkluis en een wisselkantoor. Bovendien is zijn er in het hotel nog een café, een à-la-carterestaurant, internettoegang (WIFI) en conferentiefaciliteiten. Tevens hebben de gasten de beschikking over roomservice.De smaakvol ingerichte kamers hebben een eigen badkamer met haardroger. Tevens zijn de kamers voorzien van airconditioning, een telefoon, een kluisje, satelliet-/kabeltelevisie, een minibar en verwarming (individueel instelbaar).Het hotel heeft voor haar gasten een kosteloos health-centre met een buitenzwembad, bubbelbad, sauna en stoombad. I booked this Hotel through Jet2holidays. About 10 days before our trip, Jet2 emailed me to tell me that the swimming pool would not be available during our stay. I immediately emailed the Hotel to confirm that the sunbathing are and sunbeds would definitely be open and available during our three night stay. I received an email to say, yes of course they will be open, and only the pool will be shut. On Tuesday 8th May I collected a pool towel from Reception and was told to make my way up to the pool area. When I got to the 6th Floor, I was told the whole area was shut! The reason I booked this Hotel was because it had an outside sunbathing area. If they had told me when I emailed them that this was closed, I would have taken up Jet2's offer to move us. Our bed was probably the most uncomfortable Hotel bed I have ever slept in. It must of been the cheapest they could buy. If the management ever come to the UK, I hope they try a Premier Inn bed for half the price and 100% better. Another slight niggle is that on arrival you are asked to pay an extra 18 Euro Tax. Why isn't this stated in the advance information. There is absolutely no information whatsoever in the room about anything. How the TV works, times of breakfast, where to go, local restaurants etc., If you ask at the Reception they will give you a sheet with some restaurant recommendations. I have stayed in a Melia Hotel before and this was substandard. A free drink and use of the indoor pool doesn't cut it when you are looking forward to a few hours in the sunshine.

Friendly professional hotel

A lovely hotel with great staff and ideally situated for sightseeing with trains and buses a short walk away. Our room 317 was a studio room which was immaculately clean. Unfortunately, the bathroom doesn’t have a fan so got steamed up very quickly. We ate at the hotel in the evening on three occasions and the food was delicious and reasonably priced. Breakfast is plentiful and varied for and all tastes. Gluten free options available. We saw oat milk labelled but couldn’t comment on any food being dairy free. All of the staff are very friendly and helpful. The pool was being maintained whilst we were there so couldn’t use it which was a shame. We were told we could use pool at their other hotel but as we were out most of the day, by the time we got back we didn’t want to face a transfer across town to another hotel just for the pool. We chose to get a taxi transfer from airport but buses nearby also run to airport. We felt very safe in Palma although like any major town there are nice places and not so nice places to wander around. This is an ideal hotel for couples. We hope to come back to Majorca and try one of the melia hotels further around the coast.

Great Stay

Booked in for 3 nights as part of a Jet2 city break. On the north edge of the Old Town, not far from the Placa d Espanya, making it easy to get the airport bus and the Soller train. Immaculate reception with English speaking staff, all very helpful. Mini bar stocked daily with water, beer and coke. The whole place is immaculately clean, beds so comfortable. A roof terrace bar and sunbathing area with views of the Cathedral. I would definitely stay here again View of the Cathedral from the roof top
