Fantastic holiday great resort amazing staff
We stayed here for 10days 17 of us with kids from 9months-16years and had a great holiday!firstly I cannot praise the staff enough they are always happy and welcoming and offering help animation team brilliant so upbeat and great with both kids and adults.plenty to do whether you want to chill on the lovely beach or poolside or balcony area of reception overlooking the resort and sea or if you want to join in the many games for kids and grown ups. Pools are good fun slides and sloping access great when you have smaller children and the separate kids pool with its own slide. Food was lovely and good variety available waiters were so kind and helpful as were the bar staff.rooms were lovely, clean, modern and spacious. A small tip to show your appreciation to the staff will go a long way and you will be well looked after and they deserve every penny/dinar.thank you all at maharba hotel for a great holiday.

The hotel features are good pool area good will say it as it is beach not enough beds only soft drinks serve yourself if you can get past the wasps same at pool bar no food at pool bar for five days that I know of getting food at lunch time was horrendous no tables no plates and have to que for at least 15 minuets for pasta grilled meat chips and drinks waiters do not bring you drinks when you ask then the problem is when they close restaurant at the Mahabad club every one comes to this one it's not right for the people in this hotel only one bar staff on bar at night queues their also in the end you just give up rant over I am very open minded and like to make my own mind up but this was horrendous

We'll be going back
Well this was mine and my 6 year old son's first time in Tunisia and it certainly won't be our last. I was a bit worried about the locals as I'm a young woman on my own with a child but it was perfectly fine. The staff were so lovely, and the waiters always made us comfortable at meal times, and the animation team were very entertaining. The room was lovely and we had a massive double bed which I quite happily star fished in haha.
The food was lovely although my son is so fussy that he lived on pancakes, bread and apples! All in all I can't fault it and can't wait to go back again :)

wouldnt go back
Weather and surroundings were lovely but everyone is trying to rip you off in one or another even got hassled for money in the toilet at the hotel by the cleaner.Trips recommeded by Thomson rep were overly priced. you step outside the hotel and everyone is after you for money they just come up to you in the street and start talking like they are your long lost friend BEWARE!!!

For those who wish to relax and do nothing!
This is a very nice hotel, very clean, and when we were there, very spacious. The accomodation, food, service and the surroundings were all excellent value for money. The staff couldn't do enough for you and if you like any activities, the animation team go the extra mile to encourage you. We didn't take in the night time activities in the Neptune Bar, but did speak to other guests who were enthusiasic about it. The pool area is big and a really nice place to be, relax and catch the sun. Lots of sunbeds available. The restaurant had a wide variety of foods available including some Tunisian specialities well worth trying out. It would be very hard not to find something to like every night. As for going and exploring outside the complex - Normally we would not bother with the Reps Welcome Party or read the local information book. But in this case we strongly recommend that you DO make the effort to go. Get some local info and know how BEFORE you venture out, particularly if you have children of any age. Most Tunisians are polite, very friendly, hospitable and welcoming. But as soon as you step out of the complex, any inexperience will be exploited. You will get hastle of one sort or another everywhere. Our advice for what its worth is to be very careful, politely decline and walk away from any 'free' offer, and steer clear of anyone who tells you or claims they work at your hotel.
