Brilliant time had by all!!
What a fab holiday, just got back from a week away with my hubby and my 4 year old.
This place is fab, super clean, well maintained, great service and everything done for you.
We had amazing weather whilst there!
Four pools, 2 massive and 2 smaller. There is lots of bars and the restaurant is huge with plenty of choice with meat, fish, vegetables, pizza, pasta, and desserts to die for.....so much choice even for the fussiest of eaters.
Rooms are cleaned/tidied daily, the grounds are constantly maintained and tidied all day every day.
The staff can't do enough to help you, we where spoilt all week.
Could not recommend this resort enough.

great value for money and excellent staff
we stayed for a week at sahara beach hotel. This was a budget all inclusive holiday. On arrival the staff were very welcoming. We had upgraded our room and it was very spacious with lovely views. The food was ok. The allocation of a table for your entire stay is a great idea and the waiters were very nice and helpful. The pools were fabulous and the onsite water park was great. the gardens were beautiful and the hotel should be very proud of them. the beach was spotless and had 24 hour security who ensured our safety at all times. There is everything you need at this hotel. There was always entertainment and the kids club looked fun. If you are looking for a fun, budget holiday with the kids you wont get much better for your money, i would go back again and i would recommend it.

Great for the kids
The serving staff in resteraunts and bars were excellent. Reception staff not quite so helpful.
The rooms are really basic but clean and acceptable. The swimming pools/aqua park are excellent and plentiful.
Make sure you take your own sun creams and inflatables as they are very expensive in the resort.
The food was predictable but acceptable. Overall a great family holiday at a reasonable price.

Absolutely great value
The only down side is its a 3* hotel and a 1.5hr transfer from Enfidha airport.
This is a very large hotel, three blocks of about 400 rooms each. The joining ground floor includes the reception, TV room, games room , a bar and show room/bar plus bars, shops, nite club, indoor swimming pool and large restaurant.
Outside are the three large pools, two pool bars, a beach bar and outdoor theatre and an aqua park ans sports facilities. There is plenty of outdoor fun/games at one pool by the enthusiastic animation team who also provide much of the evening shows/entertainment.
The food in the restaurant is average but plenty of choice.
All the staff are very friendly and helpfull.
If you run out of money there is a plentifull supply of washed-up unopened packets of ciggies on the beach presumeably from failed smuggling exercises....definately not for smoking !!!
This is a great family hotel and is great value for the money

Good first trip to Tunisia with my husband and 2 young children May 2014
Arrival: drinks provided on arrival at 9.30 am by hotel. Ushered into a room and given hotel information and wristbands for all inclusive.
We didn't receive our room keys until 1.40pm! As you can imagine after setting off travelling at 2am this is a long wait! Plus if we were not notified of this beforehand we would have come prepared with the children's swimwear to hand. No thomas cook travel reps to be found.
The rooms are standard 3* bed and bath/shower. You may need an extension to reach the power supply sockets as they are high up. No hairdryer (didn't bother me but just for info).
The outside is wonderful, you can see where they have spent their money. Very nice grounds (4 pools) and the waterpark is fantastic.
The beach is lovely and clean and has fantastic water sports for all ages! We enjoyed paragliding and the family float!
It also has a play area, which was also to our children's liking.
Food/drink: They have a beach bar which has a buffet through the day and another snack bar for pizza/chips/burgers, and also the main restaurant.
All inclusive average local lager/alcohol. Food is ok, no English fry up haha but plenty of omelettes, pancakes and continental selections . Being a pudding lover, I enjoyed the pudding selections ... Delicious!
Entertainment: a little lacking as there is no other option but the hotel. As it was early in the season it was inside which is very small and you need to be seated early.
However, on our last night they opened the big stage outside which had plenty of seating and a massive bar.
But it must be said the entertainment/animation team are fantastic! We really enjoyed the shows but did prefer the outside stage.
Excursions/trips: thomas cook offered plenty of excursions, but we went on the hotel camel excursion. Worth the money and a fantastic trip for all ages which was exactly as described when booking.
We also caught the 'friendly train' into monastair. We also enjoyed this trip ... No quibbles.
kids Club: we used the thomas cook one which is free (apart from the organised parties £10 per child) fantastic reps that made my children feel very welcome. Highly recommended.
other info: you don't feel obliged to tip the staff but we did tip the waiter, porters and sunbed men on occasion.
There is a couple of street sellers on the beach, just be very adamant that you do not want to buy and they will leave you alone. Although, they do tend to aim for the kids and tell them it's 'free'. We found once we started getting a tan we got less hassle.
The hotel is very good at monitoring the beach and the hotel, and any 'sellers' inside the hotel are approved by the hotel, with which we had no problems with.
You can change your money inside the hotel but it must be changed back at the airport. We spent ours inside the airport on gifts.
15mins or less transfer from monastair airport
The staff are all polite and helpful.
Free wi-fi inside hotel.
Overall, we had a fantastic time at the Sahara, the children thoroughly enjoyed it.

great low cost holiday
Had a great 2weeks at Sahara beach tunisia. holiday accomodation adequate and clean all staff welcoming and friendly food so good put over a stone on if anything too much to choose from but all delicious. Evenings not much to do very child friendly should have some areas child free in evenings as they run around and parents seem to think its not there responsibility to control there kids so thats a big downer if you want a quiet drink. Live music in piano bar but unfortunatley cant play keyboard or sing a note but funny although he seems to think hes great quite painful really. if on a budget dont need to spend anything other than a little to tip staff and they do earn it all work hard but dont ask for tips and didnt seem to treat anybody differently if they didnt tip 1 dinar enough approx 40p will certainly be going back loved the holiday
