Just came back from Tunisia- had a fantastic time! Room basic but very good, service- excellent especially ladies-Marina and Jennifer could not do more to make my holiday unforgettable, very helpful and always with smile, service at restaurant also excellent always happy to help, always there where needed, food tasty and plenty- never had a problem, just lovely. Peace and quiet- relaxing atmosphere. My and my sister never had a problem with hotel staff- all of them very helpful, smiling friendly people. I will definietely recommend it and I am waiting forward to see them again. Big, big shukran for all :))

This was the first holiday abroad I took my daughter of 3yrs too and it was excellent!! Very much for the kids the water park is brilliant the resturant service and food is good and also so was the bars!! Very good value for money and very lovely and helpful staff!!! I will be going again!!! Perfect holiday with children I wouldn't recommend it for people without children as it is all about the kids!!!

Stayed here in April 2013 and was best pleased, travelled as a family with a 2 year old and everything was great including kids own buffet at a low level for them to help themselves. The entertainment team are brilliant and the whole resort is clean. However the rooms do need some tlc. There is plenty to do all day, will definatly be returning.

After reading some reviews and peoples comments that we were going to Tunisia I had a feeling we (me my husband & 9yr old son) had made a big mistake booking this last minute holiday .we could not have been more wrong, sahara beach was a huge, and I mean HUGE complex, but easy to get around, for me not to get lost in a complex is a first! staff were so friendly and polite, it was April so no one was in outdoor pools because although sun was shining it was very windy and freezing at night so hubby and son went in the large indoor pool which looked great (and very warm) , we spent every day on the beautiful sandy beach,with my son digging tunnels all day , we never ate at the beach because to be honest I preferred the hotel lunch. the sellers on the beach call you to buy things but security stops them from coming up to your sunbed so if you go for a paddle be ready to say no I did buy a sarong and my son had a camel ride £4 cheap eh, hotel room very basic but clean, clean towels every day and came back one day to roses in room this I think was a reminder to tip cleaners, ah tips ..... you tip for everything ,porters , cleaners, waiters, coach drivers, sunbeds are free but tip man for sunbed covers well worth it for a long day .food was not as bad as I thought it was going to be, son had pancakes &pizza &lots of different pasta which are all cooked in front of you, loads of salad and always different meats, no pork of course, hubby missed bacon and I missed ham but we survived!! note we had same table and waiter all week so tip him for the week & he will look after you well, we gave £15 and a smaller tip at the end of the holiday well worth it, alcohol is not that great, I had rum & diet coke &hubby had beer not that great if you want to get your moneys worth of booze because they don't drink they don't understand measurers hubbys glass was always half beer half bubbles! son had water and lots of hot choc soft drinks not that great, we had a fab week much better than I thought to be honest, would I go there again ? in April.............. yes in August our main holiday?................ no !!! you cant beat the Balearics im afraid Tunisia sorry. might see you next april !!!!!

If you want to collapse in sunshine & read, this is the hol for you. The hotel is fab ( in April it was 25% full so no queues etc. the weather was mainly super hot ( we had to hide under a brolly) the food was really nice & we had a fussy vegetarian with us who was also happy with her meals. I must say the hotel chips where the best chips i have ever had!!!! On another subject, if you want to shop off site - don't bother as it is so tiresome being harassed unless you enjoy haggling/arguing. The Hotel shops were rather entertaining with quips about aldi etc. Really enjoyed this hol & hope to do again next year! Internet access was available in reception free of charge. We where told it would soon be available in rooms too which would be great. Would def recommend!
P.s We don't have little children but couldn't help notice really creative activities being held in the kids club (I wanted to join in it looked that good!).
re: the spa, I had a good value pedicure too.
P.s.s The red wine was amazing, better than expensive bottles bought at home!

food was good hotel and staff as well. We were there end of March, too early for swimming in the cold outdoors swimming pool. The thing we did not like was people smoking on the corridor on the way to the restaurant so every time we went for breakfast, lunch or supper we had to breath that smelly air. The hotel managers should think about non-smokers, pregnant women and children. That is the only thing that put me off going to that hotel again. A trip 'past to present' was ok but the lunch on that trip was the worse I have eaten. I was very hungry so eaten a bit but lots of people did not eat at all. Truly disgusting! but it was not the fault of sahara beach hotel.

440 screaming kids was the evidence that this is a "family" type holiday hotel. The three accommodation blocks were generally referred to as Stalag 1, 2, and 3.

We had an amazing time at Sahara Beach hotel in Tunisia. The staff was superb the animation team was amazing and superb friendly. Location was marvellous!!!! We will come back for sure.
