How do I apply for the Thomas Cook Credit Card?

Just take your pick from the following options:

• Apply online at www.thomascookcreditcard.com and get an immediate decision about your application
• Apply by phone on 0800 01 56 300 (lines open 8am-8pm from Monday to Saturday and 9am-5pm on Sunday)
• Apply instore - you can apply instore and get an immediate decision - if your application is approved, you can pay for your holiday on the card straightaway.

Who can apply?

You must be a UK resident aged 18 years or over. Please make sure that all the information you provide is correct and complete.

How long does it take to get a decision on my online application?

You'll get a decision on your online application within a few minutes. If you don't get an immediate 'yes' decision, we'll write and let you know the outcome of your application as soon as possible.

Why do I have to provide bank details and other personal information when I apply for the Thomas Cook Credit Card?

This is standard information which is required by all credit card companies. We need it to process your application, including undertaking credit reference bureau checks. Sorry, but unless you provide this information, we can't process your application for the Thomas Cook Credit Card.

Can I have additional cardholders on my account?

Yes, as soon as your account is open and you've received your own card, you can register up to seven additional cardholders at no extra charge. To register additional cardholders, please call us on 0845 30 111 03* (lines open 8am-8pm from Monday to Saturday and 9am-5pm on Sunday).

How do I activate my card?

For security reasons, when you receive your new or replacement card, you'll need to call us on 0800 05 656 30 to activate your card. You'll see this number on a sticker on the front of your card. We'll activate your card immediately when you call us, and you'll then be able to use it straightaway wherever you see the Visa sign.

What are Thomas Cook Travel Pounds?

Thomas Cook Travel Pounds are the reward points you'll earn on all purchases using your new Thomas Cook Credit Card. You'll earn 1 Travel Pound for every £100 spent everywhere with the credit card, and 2 Travel Pounds for every £100 spent with the credit card on travel and foreign exchange products at Thomas Cook. Travel Pounds can be redeemed against holidays, travel and foreign exchange products at Thomas Cook – every Travel Pound is worth £1, and there's no restriction on the type of holiday, travel or foreign exchange product which they can be redeemed against.

What should I do if my card is lost or stolen?

If you discover that your card is missing, please call us immediately on 0845 30 111 03* (if you're in the UK) or +44 1604 54 9239 (if calling from outside the UK). These lines are open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
