very dirty resort.
just came back from our holidays from this resort. Went with family and teenage child and young children. first of all we were told we will get 5 rooms instead we got 4. which we didnt mind but the bathrooms were very dirty. had mould on the tiles and shower curtains. the bottom of toilet was all brown. disgusting. our bathtub was greyish brown at bottom. one of the rooms toilets flush wasnt working. most of the phones werent working. couple of rooms ac wasnt working. basically nothing seemed to be working. the fridge was rusted and dirty. Also loads of ants in one of the rooms cupboards. cleaned it everyday but still came out.
The toilets in the reception area was very dirty.
The food was ok. nothing fantastic. most of our children just ate pizzas all week. tThe service in the restaurant was very slow. You have to ask for drinks, by the time you finish your food your drinks still doesnt come. sometimes you waiting 15 to 20 minutes for drinks as you are not allowed to go and get them yourself from the drink bar in restaurant. I dont blame the staff as they are less staff and overworked. staffs freindly or try to be when they have a moment.
It should be mentioned in the resort advert that they allow topless sunbathing. would have never gone there if we knew as dont agree with it and small kids with us. everyone was not happy about that. Most of the people there were complaining about the same thing. We went all inclusive but the drinks were horrible. more like diluted. no aftertoon snacks. just the dounuts which you have to pay for. We used to buy the drinks from outside.
We were told they had over booked resort by 500 ppl. which is there fault.
Did feel sorry for the staff. Met the owner of the Resort. Found him very arrogant and no manners at all. not with customers nor staff. The entertainment is same for the kids everyday. After couple of days they got bored.
the only thing we liked about the resort was the pool. kids loved the slides. The beach is not very near and no directions on how to go there.
this was my third time to tunisia and the other hotels i went to before were very nice. Would definately not recomment this Resort to anyone.
Feel as though we didnt get what we paid for.
We made the most of our holidays by staying out more of the resort.
would definately not go to this resort again..

Not for families with young children
Stayed at the soviva from the 26th June to 12 July 2014
Arrived 12.30am after a slight delay at gatwick with my husband and baby of 19 months along with my aunt and her family. We were told to go and have a drink at the bar while they sorted out paperwork. This is not what you want when you get there at 12.30am with a baby. When We got to our room there was no travel cot so I asked reception for one and was told I'll get one in the morning. Cut along story short it took a whole 5 days to get one which was either not ripped or very dirty. The air con didn't work right so they give us a fan. The highchairs in the restaurant were very dirty and were broken the whole restaurant only had 4 highchairs.
The food got boring after a week but that's all inclusive for you. Some of the staff were rude and not helpful but others would go out of the way to help you.
There were no baby changing anywhere around the hotel.
The rooms were big and need updating, the maids were ok a few times when asked for clean towels for the room we were given wet towels to dry on the balcony as there were running out of towels. A few times we had received dirty towels
The pool was the best apart about the holiday and the night entertainment was shocking as long with the drinks and bar service.
Would not go back

Soviva not so good
Stayed here at the end of June. Nothing like photos in brochure. The nice bar shown is actually a pay for bar as is the cafe with the piano. The pool bar shown at side of slide was not there, and loungers not spaced out like photo. Room was nothing like photo, very dated, no dressing table seat, no flowers beside bed. Broken toilet flusher, broken light switch and corroded cupboard containing a dirty fridge. Restaurant again, nothing like photo. No lights in it except, blue fly catchers. Food, in my option inedible. Had to eat out, except breakfast which was just ok. Difficult to find plate, cups and cutlery. Puzzled where the 2 lounge bars are? Did not see any afternoon tea and cake, except for the donuts by the pool, which you have to pay for!. The beach was not a stone throw away as stated, and there was no directions how to get there, was dirty and full of horse manure. Never seen any pedalos either. Drink served in plastic children's beakers, some with teeth marks, as there never seemed to be any glasses. Only 1 type of cocktail unless you go to pay bar. Staff, not very pleasant at all. Maid seemed nice but kept coming into our room without knocking, several times a day. Harassed by spa staff constantly. The only positive was the a la carte meal, which was lovely, at back of pay bar. All in all, the worst hotel I've ever stayed in. My advice is don't book here.

Fabulous relaxing holiday in Tunisia
We had a wonderful relaxing holiday at the Soviva Resort in Port El Kantaoui, Tunisia. Two Grandmothers travelled there from 6th to 20th April 2014 with an 8 year old Grandson. The hotel was very welcoming the staff vey friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and tidy, towels changed and room made up daily. The food was very good but did become monotonous, but only what you can expect from a 2 week all inclusive break, having said that, even though we have a very fussy eater in the group, there was always something there for her to eat without complaint! Our grandson was well catered for with freshly made Panini pizza, and pancakes on offer, as well as the other food on hot and cold buffet. Pool was fantastic, it was clean and safe with lifeguards patrolling and keeping a watchful eye on the kids as they tried the slides and lazy river etc. The Entertainment team at the hotel are amazing! They kept our Grandson busy with various activities such as French Boules, football, mini golf, darts etc from 10am until 5pm! We were able to relax without worries around the pool or to join in the activities with him if we chose to. He was well looked after in a safe and friendly environment by a team of lovely people who made this holiday a one neither he, nor his Grandmothers will never forget! I would highly recommend the Soviva for a lovely relaxing Spring break and will be returning hopefully next Easter.
