Rated 5 out of 5 by tiximae holiday with teenagers
Second visit to the Vincci Taj Sultan. This time we took our teenage boys aged 18 & 17. They thoroughly enjoyed the holiday and the staff at the hotel made a real fuss of them!
The only downside is that there really isnt anything for the boys to do in the evening in the way of entertainment. However, just a 10 minute walk and they found lots of places to go in the evening with our supervision, clubs and bars for their age group with their sort of music and more.
Hotel is right on the beach and we all enjoyed jet-skiing with them and if you do stay here you must book the trip on the pirate ship from the hotel rep. It was amazing, fantastic dancers on the boat and entertainment. Excellent food on board the ship but no alchol. It was one of the best boat trips we had all been on and was extremely good value. For the 4 of us the trip was approx. £80.00.
Remember you cant buy currency before you leave the UK and have to buy the currency at the hotel reception (which was the down side) because they were always running out! However, there is a cash machine in the reception of the hotel! Unfortunately, that was empty for 2 days when we were staying there. However, 10 minute walk from the hotel and the bank is nearby with cash machines.
Excellent value for money in comparison to any destination in Europe which is the Euro. ~Easy flight from Gatwick ony 2.45 hours and most of all guaranteed sunshine and guaranteed smiles from the staff at the hotel.
If you have never tried Tunisia give it ago!

Rated 1 out of 5 by green21 Limited on all counts
Found the all inclusive package very limited. Strange rules on drinks and not just alcohol. Asked for some bottled water at 9.45am one morning and was told that all inclusive drinks were not allowed to be given out till 10am. Thought this contradicted what all inclusive means. All drinks had to be paid for after 11pm and all room service was not included in the inclusive package. Some staff were friendly but some bloody rude. No water supplied on arrival to hotel in early hours of the morning so had to ask and then pay for it. Food was ok but very little variety and again strange rules on not being aloud to take our drinks that we had with our dinner to only a few yards away in the courtyard. They really didn't seem to like this!! Pool area was really nice but again service was poor and i am not one to complain usually but got fed up of asking for a coke and being served it in the smallest wine glass you could find, one mouthful it was gone!.Alcoholic drinks watered down to a level that i had to complain about this too!
For £750 per person this was definatley not value for money.

We spent the second half of our honeymoon at the Sultan and was very disapointed. The hotel was very good apart from the evening entertainment , this was not very impressive. The resort was not very clean or friendly. We were constantly harrassed on the beach. Every few minutes the locals were trying to sell something to us, from a camel ride to fruit and they did not like taking no for an answer. We could not relax for more than a few minutes at a time. The town was just as bad. I would not recommend this resort to anyone and certainly would not go back.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Grumpy Disappointing Holiday in Tunisia
Well kept hotel lovely pool. Outside dining very good waiters friendly but the rest of the staff were less than accommadating. Had to pay extra for all inclusive because the hotel was very expensive for lunch and drinks (£2.50 for a tumbler of beer). Phllip our rep suggested this and it was the best bit of advice ever. He was very helpful without being pushy, an excellent rep. The help and advice he gave on the way to the airport was excellent, never had a rep help this much.
The food in the hotel left a lot to be desired. It was unappetising, trays ran out and were not replenished quickly enough and they were not always ready at 7.00 pm, dinnertime. Beach was disappointing and the hotel was further than stated away from anything. Overall nice hotel but disappointing holiday.
