LOW DEPOSIT SCHEME - TERMS AND CONDITIONS

If your booking is one to which the thomascook.com Low Deposit Scheme applies, the following are the terms and conditions on which we will accept an initial deposit payment from you that is lower than the full deposit amount required by the tour operator/supplier. Please read these terms and conditions carefully.

The amount of reduced deposit payable under the Reduced Deposit Scheme is as follows:-

Short Haul: reduced deposit of £100 per adult | £50 per child (Full deposit £199.50 per passenger*)

Medium Haul: reduced deposit of £125 per adult | £50 per child (Full deposit £199.50 per passenger*)

Long Haul: reduced deposit of £150 per adult | £50 per child (Full deposit £249.50 per passenger*)

*Any traveller aged 2 years or over.

By paying a lower deposit than that required by the tour operator/supplier, you (the lead passenger on the booking) agree that the remainder of the full deposit for yourself and each member of your party must be paid in full by you no later than 8 weeks after the date on which you made your booking. Even if you cancel your booking prior to the date on which the remainder of the full deposit must be paid, you will still be liable to pay the remainder of the full deposit (because a cancellation charge equal to the full deposit amount will apply), and payment of that sum will become due immediately when you instruct us to cancel your booking.

If you fail to pay the remainder of the full deposit by the due date, we will be entitled to cancel your booking and you will then be liable to pay the remainder of the full deposit to us. This is because a cancellation charge equal to the full deposit amount will be payable.

The full balance of your holiday cost must be paid at least 14 weeks prior to the holiday departure date.

Luggage Allowance & In-flight Meals

Luggage allowance can vary on the holidays available on our website. The allowance is usually a minimum of 15kgs per person but can vary by airline and tour operator and the type of holiday you choose.

Also, some holidays include in-flight meals but in some cases meals are pre-bookable at an extra charge. Some airlines do not offer pre-bookable catering but you can usually purchase a snack on-board.

Terms & Conditions: *£50 off per booking applies to holidays booked by the expiration date printed on your voucher or by 31st November 2013 (whichever the sooner), through either a Thomas Cook or The Co-operative Travel store, a Thomas Cook Call Centre, or online at www.thomascook.com or www.co-operativetravel.co.uk . Minimum spend of £500 per booking applies and holiday must depart before 31st December 2014. Voucher can only be used once by the person to whom it was sent. Only one voucher per booking. Free Child Places

Some tour operators promote 'Free Kids' or 'Free Child Places' in the descriptions of selected holidays on our website. Tour Operators will limit the number of places available at these properties and by room type, availability is also usually restricted by date or travel and UK departure airport. A free child means you benefit from not paying the applicable child price for the first child. (The current selling price for that child applies if no free child places are left or you have the option to choose to pay for the child in order to benefit from other savings or discounts). Although descriptions may refer to the hotel/apartment having free child places, the actual availability for these is determined by the room type and flight you select and if a place is available you will see the basic cost for the first child on your booking shown at nil cost. If there are no free child places available when you book, the tour operator will show the lowest available first child price for that holiday. Free or discounted child prices are subject to the tour operators child price conditions as contained in the 'Holiday Information' section displayed on our website at the point of confirming the booking.

Cunard and P&O Cruises "Getaway offers"

Getaway Offers are not combinable with any other offer.  Payment in full is required at the time of booking and cancellation charges are 100% from the time of booking. Bookings will be made at the minimum grade within each stateroom category without a stateroom number. Stateroom numbers will be allocated no later than 14 days before departure. Once a Getaway booking has been made, no amendments are permitted. Any amendment to a Getaway booking will be treated as a cancellation.

 

P&O Cruises and Cunard Line – Vantage fares & Price Promise

The Price Promise applies to Vantage Fares published by Cunard and P&O Cruises, where the Vantage Fare on a holiday you have already booked has been reduced, and the new Vantage Fare applies to the same cruise and grade of cabin, sold under the same terms and conditions (such as the deposit and cancellation terms and whether it is possible to select a cabin number). The complimentary benefit applied shall be at the absolute discretion of Cunard and P&O Cruises. The Price Promise does not apply to our Getaway Fares, holiday add-ons, nor where Cunard and P&O Cruises is not the tour operator selling the holiday. Complimentary benefits are non-refundable and non-transferable. Cancellation fees are assessed on the original price of your booking. Peninsular Club and Cunard World Club fare discounts will continue to be offered but the resultant fare is not classed as a reduced Vantage Fare. If you are a Peninsular Club and Cunard World Club member your on board discount applies after all on board spending money has been used.

Onboard Spending Money - Available on cruises of 7 nights or more. On board spending money varies by voyage duration, is based on the number of nights spent on board, and applies to the first two guests sharing a cabin/stateroom. This can be spent in the shops, bars, restaurants, spa and towards shore excursions. On board spending money is non-refundable and non-transferable.

Car Parking - Available on all Southampton roundtrip cruises of 7 nights or more. Leave your car in a secure car park (one space per booking). Coach Transfers - Available on all Southampton roundtrip cruises of 7 nights or more. Coach transfers are available to all passengers on the booking. Please let us know at the time of booking if you wish to use this service and then for P&O Cruises contact Eavesway Travel (the operator) direct on 01942 727 985 no later than 35 days prior to departure or for Cunard contact Intercruises (the operator) direct on 0845 052 0537 no later than 30 days prior to departure. Airport Parking - Available on all selected two way fly-cruises. Airport parking is offsite at the relevant airport (one space per booking) with transfers between the car park and airport terminal. Please let us know at the time of booking if you wish to use this service and then contact APH Airport Parking and Hotels Ltd (the operator) direct on 0844 871 7561, quoting cruise booking reference number,
35 days prior to departure, to book your car parking. Amendments to car details can be made up to 48 hours prior to departure day at no additional cost. In most cases airport transfers operate every 10 to 15 minutes however some will operate on a demand basis. Passengers must check with APH and arrive in plenty of time to park their car before checking in for their flight. If you wish to cancel your booking you can do so up to 48 hours before departure, but please ensure you notify both Cunard/P&O Cruises and APH. These benefits are not combinable. One benefit is applicable per booking.

Vantage Fares shown are available for sale from 23 July 2012 and supercede those shown in the Cunard Voyages August 2012 - January 2014 brochure. They are subject to availability and based on two people sharing. Fares shown are lowest grade of stateroom within the stated category unless stated otherwise. We reserve the right to vary particulars and fares shown in this leaflet after the

Carnival Cruise 

Cruise fares are in Pounds Sterling (GBP), per person and based on double occupancy.  Onboard credit offer is non-transferable and non-refundable.  Onboard credit is provided to your Sail & Sign account of $100 USD per person up to a maximum of $200 USD per stateroom on select 9 & 12 day 2013 Europe sailings (Carnival Sunshine).  Up to $900 onboard Credit is available on Selected sailings & on on Selected rate codes only.
