Selected tour operators & airlines may apply fuel supplements to the price of holidays and travel arrangements due to increases in fuel costs. Where applicable, these additional charges are included in our advertised prices but will be shown separately on your holiday price summary.
Promotional Terms and Conditions
'From' prices are in £'s per person. Prices on selected late availability holidays will not include transfers. The rating shown is the tour operator's own rating and is intended as a guide for comparison purposes only. If booking within 4 days of travel, in-flight meals are compulsory and a charge will be included in your holiday costing.
LOW DEPOSIT SCHEME - TERMS AND CONDITIONS
If your booking is one to which the thomascook.com Low Deposit Scheme applies, the following are the terms and conditions on which we will accept an initial deposit payment from you that is lower than the full deposit amount required by the tour operator/supplier. Please read these terms and conditions carefully.
The amount of reduced deposit payable under the Reduced Deposit Scheme is as follows:-
Short Haul: reduced deposit of £100 per adult | £50 per child (Full deposit £199.50 per passenger*)
Medium Haul: reduced deposit of £125 per adult | £50 per child (Full deposit £199.50 per passenger*)
Long Haul: reduced deposit of £150 per adult | £50 per child (Full deposit £249.50 per passenger*)
*Any traveller aged 2 years or over.
By paying a lower deposit than that required by the tour operator/supplier, you (the lead passenger on the booking) agree that the remainder of the full deposit for yourself and each member of your party must be paid in full by you no later than 8 weeks after the date on which you made your booking. Even if you cancel your booking prior to the date on which the remainder of the full deposit must be paid, you will still be liable to pay the remainder of the full deposit (because a cancellation charge equal to the full deposit amount will apply), and payment of that sum will become due immediately when you instruct us to cancel your booking.
If you fail to pay the remainder of the full deposit by the due date, we will be entitled to cancel your booking and you will then be liable to pay the remainder of the full deposit to us. This is because a cancellation charge equal to the full deposit amount will be payable.
The full balance of your holiday cost must be paid at least 14 weeks prior to the holiday departure date.
Luggage Allowance & In-flight Meals
Luggage allowance can vary on the holidays available on our website. The allowance is usually a minimum of 15kgs per person but can vary by airline and tour operator and the type of holiday you choose.
Also, some holidays include in-flight meals but in some cases meals are pre-bookable at an extra charge. Some airlines do not offer pre-bookable catering but you can usually purchase a snack on-board.

When you book an Air Inclusive package holiday or flight which is ATOL protected, you are required to pay £2.50 ATOL Protection Contribution (APC) at the time of booking as protection begins as soon as your booking is confirmed. Some tour operators show the £2.50 APC separately and this is in addition to any advertised deposit amount. The £2.50 charge is non-refundable if you cancel your booking.
Tour Operator's usually have their own ratings for when they assess accommodation unless otherwise stated. The rating's that are shown on our website are the Tour Operator's own ratings and are an attempt to give a guide to the overall quality of properties. Tour Operator's universal ratings are usually based on the views taken from customer feedback and of senior managers in both the UK and overseas. Where applicable, official ratings are given by the authorities in the country, and do tend to give a fair impression of relative standards within that country. However, different countries have different standards; so don't assume that a 3-star hotel in one country is equivalent to a 3-star hotel in another.
Guaranteed Free Child Places
Some tour operators promote 'guaranteed free child' or 'guaranteed free kids' places in the descriptions of holidays on our website. These are usually available for customers booking early for future holiday seasons and will be withdrawn by the tour operator on specified dates. (These dates can usually be found in the tour operators 'Holiday Information' displayed on our website at the point of confirming the booking). A guaranteed free child means you benefit from not paying the applicable child price for the first child. (The current selling price for that child applies once the guaranteed free child places booking period ends or you have the option to choose to pay for the child in order to benefit from other savings or discounts) If you book before the guaranteed free child place booking period ends, you will see the basic cost for the first child on your booking shown at nil cost. If the booking period has expired, the tour operator will show the lowest available first child price for that holiday. Free or discounted child prices are subject to the tour operators child price conditions as contained in the 'Holiday Information' section as previously referred to.
Free Child Places
Some tour operators promote 'Free Kids' or 'Free Child Places' in the descriptions of selected holidays on our website. Tour Operators will limit the number of places available at these properties and by room type, availability is also usually restricted by date or travel and UK departure airport. A free child means you benefit from not paying the applicable child price for the first child. (The current selling price for that child applies if no free child places are left or you have the option to choose to pay for the child in order to benefit from other savings or discounts). Although descriptions may refer to the hotel/apartment having free child places, the actual availability for these is determined by the room type and flight you select and if a place is available you will see the basic cost for the first child on your booking shown at nil cost. If there are no free child places available when you book, the tour operator will show the lowest available first child price for that holiday. Free or discounted child prices are subject to the tour operators child price conditions as contained in the 'Holiday Information' section displayed on our website at the point of confirming the booking.
Going Places Price Beat Challenge
The challenge is not a guarantee and we are under no obligation to match or beat your quoted price. A written quotation within 48 hours of receipt from another high street travel agent will be required for us to try and beat the holiday price. We will try and match your requirements on destination, date, board basis and duration. Please ask our staff about our challenge.
