Oasis of the Seas

Royal Caribbean International

The Oasis of the Seas

Royal Caribbean International

With her innovative seven neighborhoods and staggering 5,400 passenger capacity, the Oasis of the Seas from Royal Caribbean International is more than just a ship; she's a floating luxury city.

The Oasis of the Seas is the biggest and most hotly anticipated cruise ship to be built since Cunard launched the Queen Mary 2 almost a decade ago. Royal Caribbean Cruises’ signature ship is the very latest in cruise innovation, featuring the first ever Boardwalk and Central Park at sea. Occupying the very heart of the ship, these large open spaces were certainly worth the wait.

There really is no better way to explore the paradise islands of the Caribbean than aboard this breath-taking vessel, which houses countless unique activities and experiences. Other itineraries available include a Mediterranean cruise, which takes in the wonders of the Eternal City of Rome, or a classic transatlantic passage with a twist, sailing from the sunshine state’s Fort Lauderdale to cosmopolitan Barcelona.

In 2014, the Oasis of the Seas will be offering several European cruises. Choose from a 5-night tour of the Western Mediterranean, sailing out of Barcelona, or alternatively enjoy a 7-night passage through Spain to the Netherlands. If you are looking to travel further afield, a 7-night tour of the white-sand islands during a Caribbean cruise is an adventure you will never forget.

Facilities and Amenities

As you would expect from the world’s biggest cruise ship, the Oasis of the Seas is equipped with all of the latest facilities and amenities.

The ship offers a state-of-the-art fitness suite for those wanting to keep in shape during their Caribbean cruise, and there is a luxury spa and beauty salon if you want to relax and unwind or prepare for a special evening.

The onboard champagne and wine bars ensure that there are plenty of places to enjoy a tipple with an unforgettable view. Plus, the onboard Business Centre means that you can stay in touch with the office 24 hours a day, should you need to. The ship’s well-equipped Medical Centre also provides peace of mind that you will be looked after throughout your voyage.

Activities and Entertainment

Activities and Entertainment is where the Oasis of the Seas really comes into its own and makes it the perfect choice for family cruises. The ship is a paradise for adrenaline junkies, featuring two climbing walls, a zip wire that traverses the central park area and Royal Caribbean’s signature “FlowRider” surf simulator.

Families with small children will love the Dreamworks Experience, where kids will get to meet some of their favourite movie characters, including Kung Fu Panda, Shrek and Fiona. The movies themselves can also be enjoyed in the onboard 3D cinema, and any excess energy can be burnt off in the world-class H2O waterpark. Miniature golf is also guaranteed to give everyone a giggle (and some healthy competition!) on any days spent at sea.

Once the sun goes down and the kids are in bed, choose from West-End style productions in the onboard theatre, stand-up in the comedy lounge, or even live music in the ship’s nightclub. Those who enjoy a flutter will enjoy the onboard casino. The Oasis of the Seas offers evening entertainment that rivals many of the world’s greatest cities.

Experience the best that the cruise industry has to offer aboard the Oasis of the Seas, for an action packed voyage that will keep you entertained from dawn until dusk as you discover some of the world’s most exciting destinations.

On Board

On Board

The seven neighbourhoods onboard the Oasis of the Seas each offer something different. There’s the Youth Zone, where kids can play, dance and run to their heart’s content. There’s also a separate area for teenagers to escape to. The Vitality at Sea Zone provides a haven of tranquility with luxury treatments and there’s a glittering Pool Zone, complete with four aquamarine pools and ten heavenly whirlpools. After watching the sunset over the ocean head to the Entertainment Zone where you can play high stakes in the casino, see shows at the Opal Theatre or hit the floor at Blaze Nightclub. It’s hard to understand why no-one thought of designating specific onboard areas before, it makes the ship much easier to navigate so you quickly feel at home on your cruise holiday.

You will be looking to enjoy an airy and spacious room after a day spent exploring a new destination or checking out the many onboard activities, and here the Oasis of the Seas really impresses – whatever the budget for your cruise holidays. Choose from an affordable interior stateroom, featuring all of the in-room amenities you would expect from a 5-star hotel, or – if you are looking to really splash out, go for one of the Oasis’s luxurious suites. Open the doors and enjoy a private vista over the ocean with a balcony suite – or, for a real once-in-a-lifetime experience, go for a luxury suite that comes with its own personalised concierge service, catering for all of your needs whether at sea or on dry land.

For the best in fine dining, ensure that you book a table at 150 Central Park during your getaway and enjoy its world-class tasting menu with paired wines. An alternative romantic evening can be enjoyed under the stars at the Solarium Bistro. Invigorate your taste buds and dine on sushi and sashimi in the impeccable Izumi Asian Cuisine restaurant, or check out the catch of the day at the more informal Sea Food shack.
