Mitsis Summer Palace Beach is a luxury 5 star hotel, a short drive from Kardamena, on the south east coast of Kos. Guests have access to eight swimming pools on site, as well as a private beach with a lifeguard. If you’re heading into Kos Town during your stay, you’ll also be able to use the facilities at Mitsis Ramira Beach Hotel for no extra charge, ideal if you want to grab a bite or beer during your daytrip.
Your all-inclusive perks include access to three restaurants, choose from a variety of Mediterranean, Japanese and Peruvian options and maybe sample a local sweet speciality - Ravani cake and a small glass of the local Ouzo spirit. The little ones have a special kids’ selection to choose from. For late risers there’s a brunch option from 9am to midday. If your flight times aren’t convenient you don’t need to worry about missing a meal, as a late buffet service is available from 10pm to 4am, followed by an early breakfast service. Also ideal for those who get peckish in the night!
The little guests can enjoy a wide variety of fun activities at the Mini Club, operating daily from 10:00 to 17:00 and the Teens Club operating during July and August. The mini humans have a special pool with a fun slide, as well as a playground and in the evenings there’s a Childrens' Disco.
The not-so-little guests can enjoy a great range of daily activities combining fitness with fun from tennis to beach volley and aerobics to dancing lessons. The wide selection of bars on site offer cocktails, beer, coffee, juices and long drinks. Choose whether you want a drink by the pool, on the beach or indoors, maybe with a pita gyro or crepe. Cocktail nights are part of the entertainment programme.
Rooms are equipped with a balcony or terrace, minibar, satellite TV, beach towels and WiFi. You’ll also receive a gift from the hotel the day before you check-out.
A drive of just under 6km will take you to the main town of Kardamena with its host of bars, tavernas and nightclubs. Kos has a vast cultural history to explore, with a number of castles and museums around the area, including the hilltop ruins of the 14th-century Antimachia Castle, just inland from Kardamena. You can hike up here for views over the resort. For a day trip, you can even take a boat from Kos to the ancient city of Bodrum in Turkey, where you’ll find plenty of medieval architecture and a popular bazaar.
