Babadağ Mountains

For breathtaking panoramic views, a trip up Babadag mountain is an absolute must while you're in Olu Deniz. Around half an hour's drive from the centre of town, you're in for a treat with the journey alone as you wind your way up the tall mountain. If you don't have a car you can easily catch a dolmus to the top of Babadag, which shouldn't cost you very much.

Standing at almost 2,000 metres, you'll be amazed by the views at the summit. Gaze back down over Olu Deniz and out across the sparkling Mediterranean, which is less than five kilometres away. Don't forget your camera, as you'll be able to take some stunning photos from the lofty viewpoint.

Or go for a meal at the restaurant near the top of the mountain, an incredible experience at sunset. As you sit down and enjoy your dinner, you'll have an unbeatable view of the sun going down into the Mediterranean on the horizon.

If you visit Babadag mountain in the morning, spend the rest of the day exploring the Kidrak Natural Park and relaxing on its beautiful beach. Or head south towards Patara Beach and soak up some golden sunshine on this natural, unspoilt stretch of sand.
