Getting around Turkbuku

By dolmus: These local minibuses are a cheap and efficient way to get around. They run across specific routes, often travelling to other towns in the area, and you can hop on and off as you like.

By hire car: If you want to explore the beautiful Bodrum Peninsula at your own pace, this is the best way. Pick up a rental when you arrive at the airport, or find a hire car company in Bodrum town.

By taxi: Look out for stands around the resort where rates are posted. You can’t miss the bright yellow licensed taxis. And remember to ask for a price before you get in because they usually run on a meter. 

Events in Turkbuku

Bodrum Bicycle Festival: Every May, this fun-filled event takes place in Bodrum town to promote eco-friendly travel. Anyone can join in on this cycle trail from Neyzen Tevfik to the Quay Centre. Spot acrobats, musicians and dancers peddling along the route.

The Bodrum Cup: The annual boat race takes place on the shores of Bodrum town. The party atmosphere starts way before the race begins, with live music and dance shows in Iskele Square. Cheer on the contestants with a tropical cocktail in hand.

The lovely Mediterranean climate guarantees long, hot summers with plenty of sunshine. July and August are usually very hot, with perfect sunbathing weather.
