Santa Ponsa Nightlife
Whilst the nightlife in Santa Ponsa isn't as full-on as nearby Magaluf, you'll find just as many ways to have a memorable night out. A fabulous starting point is Los Jardines, the village square, where you'll find entertainment throughout the summer, including children's games and top-quality tribute acts. There are lots of bars, so you'll be able to find a comfy spot to enjoy the show while sipping your favourite tipple.
As well as the charm of Los Jardines, Santa Ponsa is home to Ramon de Montcada, a strip packed with bars of every description, a choice of restaurants, and several lively clubs where you can dance the night away.
Bars
Like the rest of the nightlife in Santa Ponsa, you'll find the bars offer something for everyone. There are several fun pubs, many with an Irish theme, that host party nights, live music and in-house DJs. Families will find bars that have dedicated kids clubs offering face-painting and competitions or even a bouncy castle.
If you're into sport, you'll be able to keep up with the latest results in many of the bars as well as being able to show your skills over a cheeky game of darts or pool.
There's plenty of spots to show off your singing too, and one of the most popular karaoke venues, Stepps Bar, has been a favourite since 1998.
If you prefer a more traditional atmosphere, heading away from the strip will reward you with cosy tapas bars and Spanish restaurants in tucked away backstreets. The beautiful beach has several beachfront bars to enjoy a drink as the sun goes down, and many stay open until the early hours.
If you're wondering what to drink in Santa Ponsa you'll be spoilt for choice. International brands such as Guinness and Tennent's feature strongly, as well as local draught beer and Spanish cerveza. There are a number of places offering tempting cocktails and local specialities such as Flor d'ametla, a delicious almond liqueur. You'll find plenty of mocktails and tasty options for kids too, as well as a choice of teas and coffees.
Clubs
Although nightlife in Santa Ponsa is mainly focused on bars and restaurants, seasoned clubbers will find some good options for dancing from dusk 'til dawn. There are venues to suit all ages, from teens to an older crowd, all with a focus on dance and electronic. A popular spot last summer was Basement, which is the only venue open until 6am. Renowned for great sound quality, this state-of-the-art club attracts top international DJs and is open seven days a week in high season.
For a taste of Majorca's legendary super clubs, Magaluf is just 15 minutes away in a taxi, or half an hour by bus. You'll be spoilt for choice with venues like BH Mallorca that attract the likes of David Guetta and Steve Aoki. If you're into dance music then a trip out to Magaluf is a must.
Boat Parties
Santa Ponsa delivers a classic party boat experience on Tuesdays and Saturdays throughout summer. As well as a great choice of drinks and non-stop summer anthems, you'll enjoy quirky extras like champagne spray showers as well as opportunities for cliff diving and swimming. You'll enjoy tunes from top DJs including special guests like Robbie G or Aussie favourites Teddy Cream, all set against the backdrop of the stunning Majorcan coast. Tickets include a bar crawl as well as a few cheeky snaps to show your friends.
If you fancy splashing out you can upgrade to the VIP option complete with a bottle of fizz, souvenir t-shirt, and access to the VIP area.
If you fancy a sunset boat party or hopping aboard a pirate party ship, then Magaluf is just up the road.
For a lower key experience you'll find plenty of options for a relaxed trip with a great meal and a few drinks with family and friends.
One of the best things about nightlife in Santa Ponsa is the variety. It's a great resort for families to enjoy an evening out together, with everything near enough to be able to have a drink and a bite to eat without having to walk too far. If your children are older they'll enjoy being able to sample the Majorcan club scene without having to venture too far, and the vibrant atmosphere of the Irish and Scottish bars deliver fun-filled nights for music lovers and karaoke fans alike.
Whatever you're into, nightlife in Santa Ponsa is small, but perfectly formed.
