Great location and nice area for restaurants and the lake is nice. I don’t usually write reviews that aren’t positive, but the service was not good. There is a sign that clearly states no more than 4 people on the elevators (which are tiny), and my family of 3 and another person were already on the elevator when an employee got on with us anyway. It doesn’t look good for employees to not be following the guidelines that the hotel has. Additionally, I called the first night to see if I could get a blanket and they said no problem. An hour and a half later I still didn’t have the blanket, so I called back and offered to go downstairs to get one if it helped, but they assured me someone would bring one. It never happened. I had to ask a 3rd time the next morning for the blanket. Doubletree hotels are usually solid stays, but the service was a bit disappointing.
My company car broke down and the hotel was close to where I had to drop off my car. They were so nice when I checked in as it was last minute and they knew I was already stressed out. They upgraded my room and made sure I had everything that I needed. The employees were the ones who made sure that I was happy and comfortable on a very stressful day!
Selected this hotel for a family trip. The staff is great and very obliging although after staying several days, cleaning of room, or clean towels is just nasty. I'm not used to that. We did not spend alot of time in the rooms however, having a crisp bed, clean towels, clean restrooms I would think might be essential during these Covid times. Not sure I would come back. Parking at $26. A day is a little ridiculous too. Did my laundry, washers are expensive too. No coffee in the room is not good customer service. No complimentary anything. Not even water. Hilton properties are better than this. Disappointing to me.
