A GREAT LOCATION that has some big problems such as the elevators keep breaking down. THE hallways are
enclosed with bad circulation which is a major health issue and when the ACS keep breaking down it is because all10 floors are controlled by one cooling tower on the roof which keeps breaking down. KEnnYS to the building entrance rarely work due to bad management. ENCLAVE is a great place for smokers .
I stayed in the Enclaves Suites in October 2019 with my 11 year old Daughter. I booked through Virgin and looked up the hotel via Tripadvisor. Although not all reviews were good, I thought it looked like a good stay. the hotel is a complex of three blocks. Just off International Drive, which is perfect to walk out to. DineyWorld parks are 20 minute drive away, or about £14 in an uber.
We stayed for 10 nights. On arrival, we were greeted by a friendly and helpful reception, who advised us the room was not ready yet but we had been upgraded to a two bedroom suite for free, which was amazing, so the 30 minute wait was not an issue. On receipt of our room card, we went to the our block, which was block one. Lift was fine and roomy. First initial reaction to decor was fine. On entry to our upgraded room, we found tow bedrooms, both ensuite, and a lounge area with a mini kitchen. Each room had a large flatscreen tv. The patio opened up to a balcony overlooking the car park. this was only first floor, and after consideration, decided to go back to reception and thank them for the upgrade, which was very generous, but I really wanted a high floor overlooking the pool, and said I would be happy to have a studio room I paid for if one was available to my requirements. Reception were again very polite and advised that I would need to speak to the shift manager who was in a meeting at the time, and I was to return an hour later.
I returned, and thanked the shift manager, who was again very polite and again I thanked for the upgrade but would prefer a higher floor overlooking the pool. The shift manager said there was nothing that could be done that day but if we left our bags packed the next day, they would move our bags to our new room while we were out, which suited me as we were heading to Magical Kingdom that day.
On our return from Magical Kingdom, we were given our new room key at reception and advised we had been given a high floor, overlooking the pool, but as an additional gesture, were upgraded to a large balcony.
The new room was amazing. a Bed for me and a very comfortable sofa bed for my Daughter. Mini kitchen with sink, fridge, microwave, hob, cutlery, plates, pans, leading out through patio doors that opened up to a massive balcony (see pictures). The room had adequate clothing storage with drawers and closet. The
en-suite was perfectly fine with bath and shower. There was a large screen tv and a safe. This room was perfect for our stay and I was very happy. The decor overall of the room was perfectly fine for my needs and did not feel there was anything needed.
As we booked with Virgin we had access to a full English breakfast in the Hotels restaurant located in the main block. The breakfast was fantastic and had a waffle maker that made a mickey mouse shaped waffle which was a big hit with my daughter. the staff in the restaurant were exceptionally friendly and helped the kids work out the waffle maker, and were keen to ensure we had everything we needed.
The outside pool and hot tub and indoor pool were very clean with staff seen often cleaning. There was also a gym at the hotel but I never used it.
Overall, the hotel added to the most amazing holiday I have booked so far and would give them 10/10. I was so impressed I am booking again for 2021.
There will always be negative reviews, but hand on heart, wonderful hotel. Get it booked.
Good option for those that choose to stay outside of the park. About a 30-45 minute walk or a 5 minute ride to Universal. Restaurants and stores in walking distance. Facilities are nice, clean, and secure. Also has a pool and a laundry room on two floors.
