We stayed at this hotel in Dec 19 and had a fab time, we were club level and half board. The service staff were brilliant and attentive. due to the great time we had previously we booked again for Dec 20 for 10 days, again club level and half board. On checking in we were informed that the club lounge was closed and we would receive half board instead, when I pointed out that we were booked half board anyway they offered nothing in terms of compensating for the club level we had paid for, this includes tea/coffee, cold drinks and snacks in the club lounge throughout the day and drinks, canapés and cocktails in the club lounge from 6-8pm. They said this was due to covid and we were getting everything we had paid for in the buffet restarant, however this was not true as cocktails were not available, just beer and house wine and spirits, also if the club lounge was closed due to cover why have a buffet restaurant open every night with over 100 people in it. It appears the staff numbers were cut so much that actually the service staff in restaurants / poolside were running around trying to serve all these customers whilst management stood around watching most of the time. Each time I raised some of our issues with reception they offered nothing acceptable, some orange and carrot juice delivered to our room to compensate for club lounge, we found the management particularly on the front desk rude at best. We will definitely will not be returning again.
Grand Hyatt was a name of Quality but from past year they are deceasing the quality and standards of their hotel their linen smells bad towels in bathroom, spa and pool area are like expired hard and ripped indoor pool smells bad and its not just me almost every one was complaining about the same issues to person in spa and pool area Jacuzzi water is so bad it will give itches on your skin people we’re going and coming out with the same problem Hope they get their standards back to normal.
