I travelled to the palmin as a solo guest. The hotel is lovely and clean. The hotel is covid safe. Staff wore masks as did most guests and temp checks were done on arrival and every time you came into the hotel. My room was very spacious and comfortable. English TV channels which is always a plus. I only had breakfast included which was pretty good fresh omelettes, fruit all the usual choices. I did hear from other guests that lunch and dinner weren't the best and I know a lot of them went out to eat in the evenings but like I said I only had breakfast that was just what I was told. The hotel has an indoor pool and spa facilities, I had a turkish bath and massage I would highly recommend the girls are fantastic very relaxing and professional. The outdoor pool itself is baltic so I went in once just way too cold even to stay in for a bit it was horrible. I just swam in the indoor pool but that's a personal preference other people were happy to get in and swim. The staff at breakfast, reception and security were second to none, service was brilliant can't fault them particularly breakfast staff and the chefs they were lovely. The staff at the pool bar were a disaster, if you were lucky enough to get served within 10-15 mins then it wasn't too bad! The other thing that drove me crazy all week was the fact that they never had ice I would have to beg for ice and wait and on numerous occasions I would ask at least 4 times and it would take me going over and being rude and losing my temper for the bar staff to go get some ice which I don't think is asking too much on a sun holiday and I hate to be put in that position but all I wanted was some ice 😂. If it was one time I wouldn't say anything but it was every day and all through the day, just fill the ice bucket at the start of the day and that solves the issue, I did say it to the manager himself but other than that the hotel is fine. I would prob say its a 3 star. In terms of location it's great just a 5 min walk from ladies beach although you need to be able to walk up very steep hills if not you can get taxis which are readily available. Ladies beach area is gorgeous, lots of good restaurants and places to have a drink by the ocean. I met a lot of people and became friendly with the local people and they are very helpful and friendly always saying hello, I felt very welcome. Ladies beach is beautiful, the water is lovely and warm especially in the morning the sea is very calm I went in for a swim and it was very relaxing. The beach itself as in the sand is full of cigarettes which is a shame because as I said its a beautiful beach I definitely would not let kids play in the sand. If I wanted to go to the beach for the day I just got the free shuttle bus from the palmin to the private beach which is about 10 mins if even away from the hotel and its is a little tranquil paradise I loved it. The sand is clean and the water is gorgeous and the bus shows up at different times for pick up. The centre is about 10 mins away by taxi not too bad about 4 euro or by dolmus about 2 euro I never bothered with the dolmus I just got taxis to be safe with covid. All in all it isn't the worst hotel I enjoyed my stay just a few little things but no hotel is perfect, I wouldn't go back to stay at the palmin personally but I would go back to ladies beach area hopefully they clean the sand that's my only fault with the area everything else is perfect.
Fantastic budget hotel .. I travelled as a solo traveller due to Covid my friend dropped out so I booked a cheaper hotel and wasn’t expecting much, but I was pleasantly suprised . The rooms are modern and spacious and cleaned to a high standard every day . The food was amazing although it was all inclusive, obviously with the restrictions the staff served you rather than choose your own, but this probably helped with the quality. Always about 5 or 6 options to choose from , fresh veg , huge salad bar ... waiter service at the tables and all the cutlery was seal packed and sanitizer on all the tables .. The place felt very safe and secure all the staff wore masks and the hotel was spotless ... The pool area is huge and there were always plenty of loungers available .. a mini bus service takes you to a lovely private beach at regular intervals and even comes back for you at lunchtime then takes you back to the beach afterwards .. The drinks are the usual standard for all inclusive but very generous measures .. The entertainment staff were amazing but not too intrusive or loud... The hotel is a little bit out the way and because kusadasi is quite hilly in places it is a bit difficult to walk places .. however taxis from the hotel into town (approx 2km) are around £2 .. all told a fabulous budget hotel which had the feel of a good 3-4 star .. if you leave the hotel they do regular temperature checks on your return and I felt very safe with all the processes they had in place .. my first time in kusadasi and the town itself is beautiful especially the harbour area . Great value for money , lots of pavement cafes and bars and a lively bar street which is set back a little so not noisy or rowdy so you can experience the best of both worlds .. Plenty of shops and typical of Turkey you can buy the real fakes for a fraction of the price you get in the uk and reasonable quality too .. I’ll definitely return , hopefully next year if things return to some form of normality I’ll be back ... 10/10 .. fantastic experience
Travelled 9 sept for 9 days.Arrived early afternoon with my wife.Hotel was a change as Minorca cancelled. On arrival Luggage sanitized and our temps taken .Check in was quick and our bags were taken to room.Large room with nice bathroom and walk in shower. VERY clean and we had a pool and sea view.I had emailed hotel prior and asked for a quiet room at end of corridor and happily that's what we were given.Meals in hotel always hot and although not a great choice there was always something and always enjoyed it.Drinks were fine and we thought there was plenty of choice. Entertainment team worked very hard but did not try force you into participating. During the day silly games and waterpolo etc which everyone enjoyed.
The one thing that did let the hotel down was the evening entertainment ,poor is what I would call it.One professional act which was brilliant and the rest was the in house team.
What would like to say about this hotel is ALL the staff were friendly and professional and in 90deg heat in full ppe because of covid they never stopped smiling from breakfast to late at night , a truly professional team.
Hotel is 10 min walk from ladies beach but you have to cross a busy road.Taxis are right outside the hotel and are very cheap. Lovely relaxing holiday thoroughly enjoyed ourselves
