Had a great holiday at Hotel ISTANKOY where ive just spent 12 nights with a friend, we are young 60yr olds! but all ages were enjoying themselves.
Great small family run hotel, apart from an odd turkish client they are all britts staying there.
They are very friendly and helpful, its very clean and comfortable, Beware though, no balconies on ground floor so dont pay for cheapest room.
Being a British Based hotel means listening to our music and the restaurant serves our food, which is delicious and cheap. We booked b n b and the brekky included is unfortunately a turkish one though, but we dont do mornings...lol. Room service is same price as menu. English breakfast is huge and do Sunday dinners too.
2 mins from beach/bar street, with masses of restaurants and bars on sea front. Shops start from 30 seconds away and stretch all the way to the marina.
Beautiful place to holiday. Very central.
Dont expect to go to sleep early though cus fun and music around the pool area, only till midnight cus of covid, but i bet 2am or after would be normal.
Cant praise the staff enough!
Fantastic time but myself and my two sons had separate rooms so we all paid the extras before leaving but accused my oldest of not paying his bill but I was with him. Got no receipt then checked cameras proof he paid then they said it was me but I had my receipt but they insisted so just paid the extra but will not return it’s a shame was paid five extra bills before leaving
I chose this hotel due to the reviews and the location, plus the price of the package was excellent.
The breakfast was ok, choice of cereal, continental or omelettes.. cooked breakfast was 45tl and good value.
The rooms are different sizes and some do not have a balcony, but our room was small, but we had a huge balcony.
The staff were lovely, very friendly and the hotel was immaculate, our cleaner was in every day, changing the towels, sheets we couldn't fault it.
We booked a hamam with the agency next door and was very disappointed, we didnt get what he promised and on reading reviews on here I'm surprised he is still using them. consequently, we did not book any further trips through him, we went to an agency on the main shopping street just over the bridge.
I wouldnt hesitate to return to Istankoy.
