We just got back from a 4 night stay in Madrid. The hotel was absolutely amazing! It has large clean modern rooms, a great breakfast and the best location you can ask for. On top of this, the staff is super friendly. A big shout out and thank you to Lorena who constantly goes out of her way for visitors. The tips and advice were thought through and with a great local flavor, keeping us with the hottest spots away from the mainstream tourist attractions. Thank you for an amazing stay, we will 100% be back and send our friends.
The hotel is in an ideal position in the center of Madrid (300 m away from Puerta del Sol and 15 min walking from Prado Museum and The Museum of modern art Reina Sofia). The staff is kind and friendly. The lobby of the hotel is very tasteful (except the fire place which is very modern and constructed of led lamps). There is also free water and free espresso and cappuccino coffee all the time for everyone in the lobby. The breakfast area is on the 5th floor. Τhis place is very comfortable and light (the roof is transparent). It was a surprise to find not only the ordinary food but also helthy food (soya milk, coconut water, nuts etc). The rooms are renovated, very clean and
overlook Alcala Avenue or the vertical road. The bathroom is new. It has jaccuzzi. Except shower gel, shampoo, conditioner etc. there is also shaving cream, shaving razor, tooth paste. There are two narrow elevators (this is the only negative point)
Perfectly located hotel, not too far from the metro station and in walking distance of main areas like Gran Via and Puerta Del Sol.
Great service but very dated room, paint coming off and flaking onto the floor, rusty shower, mold growth on the silicone. The amenities were very average too, especially for a 4 star hotel!
Also, the rooms aren't very soundproofed so you can hear every time someone walks past. Luckily I didn't stay inside the room that often - overall very average.
