I think the hotel is great, it has almost everything you need within. It can be a bit pricy compared to whats available near by and WIFI is not included. The hotel charges per device.
The hotel has mini-disco's each night I was there during holiday and they do request for "Happy birthday" for any children who are lucky to be away for their birthday.
The swimming pool has a lifeguard (or two) at all times. DO NOT buy swimming pool toys at the hotel shop (or any other), toys at the pool are not allowed.
For anyone travelling with young children, there is a on-site childcare for only a few hours per day. From my two experiences there, English is not well spoken and other kids typically only speak Spanish. This hotel is also very popular with Spanish tourist (mainly from Madrid area).
The hotel is close to the beach and other places such as restaurants.
I had to select October 2019, I stayed here in June-July 2019
We went for a short holidays in the hotel Palia Las Palomas, where we were warmly welcome by the staffs and Douzie whom took care of us, always ready to help with any doubts about the rules in the region, recommendations etc.
I’ve had the best sleep in that hotel, the room is highly clean and cozy. However the time waiting to get a coffee in the queue ( over 20min due to all inclusive I guess) for the breakfast while my boyfriend was waiting with our food in the table, disappointed me, followed by the tasteless of the scrambled eggs, that is the easier dish to prepare.
The alcoholic drinks included that supposed to be good I couldn’t even drink half of it.
Due to the heat, I decided to book two nights at the coast, all inclusive with a nice swimming pool. I decided to choose this hotel as it seemed to provide this.
Unfortunately it was the worst hotel experience I have ever had, and sadly I left this hotel in dire need of relaxation and sleep, which was the very purpose of me visiting the hotel in the first place.
I arrived the first day and everything was fine. The pool was really good, the staff friendly, and food as would be expected for hotels such as this.
But the night. What a nightmare. My room was at the side of the road. The road is busy all night, and as it's built up on all sides, any noise echoes.
And there was so much noise. Young people racing their cars, revving engines, screeching tyres. The sound proofing is almost none existent and it feels like you're sleeping on top of a racetrack. That first night I slept a few hours only.
It meant the next day I was totally exhausted. I visited the pool once again, but managed to eat very little. I was too tired. At 5PM I just couldn't stay active so went back to my room for a siesta.
I found it impossible. And on top of the traffic, a crazy man was on the street screaming for two entire hours, I could hear him even over the TV.
I tried to eat dinner then, but did not eat much. I was looking forward to the fireworks too, but truthfully did not have the energy I was exhausted, so went back to my room instead.
I managed to sleep finally at 02.30 only to be woken up one hour later by the sound of slamming doors. Once awake I was kept awake by a person having a telephone conversation on the balcony, and then more car racing, and music blasting out of cars during the night.
I cannot blame the hotel for noises made on the street or by other customers, I understand. But the proximity of the room to the road, being right next to it, and the lack of sound proofing, caused me to have a horrible time. On top of this I paid all inclusive for no reason, as on the second day I barely ate or drank anything. I did not even manage to finish my coffee the second night. All of this due to exhaustion caused by being unable to sleep.
It is a shame, I can definately imagine rating this 4 stars if I had a room somewhere else in the hotel away from the street.
