My original room was sold out from under me, since the flights rendered a delay getting to the hotel. The tiny room, they put me in, had hair and dead bugs on the floor, shower had mold and mildew, and the heater/AC unit was broken. Contacted the front desk with concerns, they seemed concerned, but nothing was done. Only three rooms have kitchenettes, so please prepare for having an empty mini fridge and that is all that is provided. Single beds only. They push two together to make it look bigger. Terrible experience for the money.
The only bad thing about this hotel are the beds and couch. The bed was so bad that I found myself sleeping on the floor Most nights. I tried the couch and same story. Other then that it was a great time! People are great and you can’t beat the location
My room is nice but not exceptional. Light bulb was burnt out and I had to go to the front desk to request one after waiting for 5 days to see if housekeeping would report it for repair. The kitchen exhaust fan does not work. I nearly set off the hotel fire alarm because the smoke from cooking could not vent out of the room. The heat lamp in the bathroom does not turn off.
I am here on business and have to quarantine in my room for my first two weeks. I have a lot of work to do online and am frequently unable to connect to my work servers because of the extremely slow Internet connection. It is currently running speed tests under 5 Mbps. When it was raining, I could not connect on any of my devices to the Internet (two cell phones, three different computers. The speed test run on all 5 devices was unable to connect at all the majority of the time it was raining hard, and topped out just under 2 Mbps when the rain was light.
There is an Ethernet port in the room but it is not enabled/connected. My hope to be productive s long gone and I still have another 4 weeks here. I may follow many others that have left recently and go to another hotel.
Overall, the staff here is very pleasant and personable and I would give them higher marks in that area had there been a grading criteria for that,. The cleaning/maintenance team's attention to detail poor. I would be a bit more forgiving, not much, if I was not in an upgraded room, paying nearly double the basic rate. When I pay this much more for a room I expect better room conditions and amenities.
The front desk staff's answer to the poor Internet connection is to try connecting in a different part of the hotel. A number of other guests/co-wrokers in different parts of the hotel are having the same or worse trouble connecting to the Internet. Many of them have left for a different hotel. I am left wishing I had gone to a different hotel. I will probably not stay here again, and am doubting I will complete my stay in this hotel unless there is a drastic change soon.
