Palm Beach

Palm Beach is a family-friendly hotel near Benidorm, on the Costa Blanca. It's a short stroll from here to Levante Beach, where you can swim in the Mediterranean Sea or stretch out on the sand. If you'd prefer to take a dip at the hotel, you can take your pick from the outdoor and indoor swimming pools. You'll be able to dine al fresco or indoors at the buffet restaurant, which is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. There are three bars at the Palm Beach, including one by the pool. Renovated in 2017, the hotel's Roman-themed lobby contains marble pillars, matching floor tiles and has a cloudy sky painted on the ceiling. Rooms are neutrally decorated with light coloured walls, wooden flooring and some have artwork on display. If you need to pick up any last-minute essentials, Palm Beach has a handy mini market and currency exchange. If you're feeling active, you can head to the multi-sport pitch to play basketball and football. The hotel also has a boules court, squash courts and a gym, plus a sauna. You could also attend a fitness class, such as aerobics or aqua aerobics. At Palm Beach, you're a short drive from Benidorm's centre, with its karaoke bars, street stalls and fish and chip shops, along with its white sandy beaches.

Palm Beach is 700m from Levante Beach, which stretches for over 2km and has a promenade lined with cafÈs and restaurants. The nearest water park, Aqualandia, is 1km away. It's a 3km drive to the centre of Benidorm, where you can dance until dawn at the bars and nightclubs. The resort is home to country and western bars, Irish pubs and British cafÈs, along with family-friendly dinner shows and discos. If you fancy exploring, it's also 3km to Benidorm's historic Old Town, where you'll find a twice weekly market, along with pavement cafÈs serving local dishes, such as tapas and paella.

At Palm Beach, you can dine at the buffet restaurant, which offers a variety of local and international cuisine at mealtimes. The hotel has three bars, one of which is for adults only, where you can order a selection of snacks and drinks. The pool bar is open during high season only.

Low-key activities at Palm Beach include darts, pool or table tennis. After dark, you could watch the family-friendly entertainment together, perhaps with a drink.

Rooms at Palm Beach have Wi-Fi and satellite TV. They also come with patio doors leading onto a sun terrace or balcony.

After reading the reviews here I am sat here wondering what planet people live on.

I am currently sat in my hotel room writing this review, in a lovely plush bed, watching English TV whilst having the stunning backdrop of benidorm Mountain range to my side.

So, the reviews I've read say this is not a 4 star hotel. Having stayed in a lot of 3 star hotels around Spain and Europe, I can confirm it's star status. The room we are in may not be the biggest, but this has cost us £31 per night! A room in Newcastle no where near the quality of this costs us over £60 a night. Decor is spot on, the beds are lovely and it has a wood floor, not tiled so nice on the feet in the morning.

The steep hill..... I'm still wondering where it is and how people can rate the hotel down based on geography. Yes there's a small incline towards it, but if you use your brain and walk past the free parking spaces outside you remove the hill almost completely. We walked back last night, easily I may add, and unless you're an asthmatic or over 75 you won't struggle to walk back.

No noise so far, always could be since its benidorm, but you are out of the way of the strip and I slept like a baby last night (I'm a light sleeper).

The room we are in is spotlessly clean, the reception area is huge, and the staff we have met have been typically Spanish, they aren't OTT on friendliness but I don't expect to make a best friend within 2 minutes of meeting someone. The corridors are fine, not some Blackpool ghost ride the reviews make them out to be.

This hotel is, for the money, superb and would not hesitate to return.

Convenient and comfortable accommodation
Feb 2020 |

We spent a night at the Palm Beach to go to a dinner show at Benidorm Palace to see Aqua.

We had a double refurbished room on the 9th floor with a lovely terrace and great views across the hotels and mountains of Benidorm.

The hotel blinds in the corridor had seen better days and the hotel restaurant was closed for refurbishment but the hotel location was ideal for our needs.

The hotel indoor pool was a real treat on the Saturday afternoon when we arrived and Reception staff were really helpful.

We’d stay there again for an overnight but only out of season!
