I spent 5 days here and it was the nicest 5 days I’ve ever experienced at a resort. Everyone was friendly, prompt, and the food at Jade Mountain was fabulous. They wrote me notes daily letting me know if there was anything I needed they would get it for me. They made me a bubble bath because they knew I took my hike one day. They restock the rooms throughout the day constantly cleaning. Everyone is so prompt, and the food at Jade mountain is AMAZING. I ate here almost everyday and didn’t have 1 bad thing. Not to mention the view looks like a postcard. It’s absolute paradise. Exceptional service, view, and staff.
The Jade Mountain experience is something unique and definitely worth adding to your 'bucket list,' for the views alone. Nestled into the side of a mountain directly across the bay from the two pitons, this resort is like nothing you've seen before.
We stayed in a 'moon' suite, which has an enormous rectangular infinity open-air pool overlooking the pitons. It's surreal when you walk into your room for the first time and see this gorgeous view. No expense has been spared to provide you with the most incredible getaway; the butlers are attentive and at your service, no request seems too impossible, and the quality of the food and service is impeccable.
There are a few places to eat on site but make sure you book the rooftop restaurant for your first night, as it's the best and you may want to eat there for the duration of your stay (it's also where breakfast is served, and the views in the morning are stunning). Make sure to order the 'volcanic egg' signature dish for breakfast; it's a slow-poached egg laced with truffle oil and crispy prosciutto and it's one of the most sublime things I've ever tasted.
The beach at Jade Mountain is fine, but be aware that the sand is a mixture of volcanic black/beige grains and is not as photogenic as the nearby Sugar Beach (where the white sand is rumored to have been shipped in from somewhere else, anyway). That said, it's the rooms at Jade Mountain that command your attention and you'll want to stay there rather than go exploring!
Jade Mountain is one of the most unique resorts I have ever stayed at. I could not recommend it more. The views, ambiance, and most of all the service! Jerome, Lawrenceson, Dwight, Peterson at the Jade Mountain Club treated us with 5+++ star service. As did the Gerwin and Tennerson who took us sailing and Jovan who took us jungle biking. Also Wincia who took time to give my husband and I a tour of the resort. We cannot wait to be back!
