Hard Rock Hotel Riviera Maya is a family-friendly hotel that's steps from its own private beach in a quiet area on the east coast of Mexico. At Puerto Aventuras, you'll find two marinas from where you can take cruises along the coast, dinner trips and wildlife-spotting expeditions, or head out to the coral reef to snorkel or dive. Land-based activities include golf at the resort's nine-hole course, shopping for tropical fruit at the farmers' market or browsing at the fashion boutiques in the mall. The town has a number of places to eat and a few bars, but if you want lively nightlife, you can head to Playa del Carmen.
