The hotel is located in first-line of the beach, and 24 km from the airport. It has 288 comfortable rooms, a Spa and a large beach. It has two restaurants: La Veranda with a beautiful view of the swimming pool, of the gardens and to the main terrace, where you will enjoy the buffet and themed dinners. El Mirador, with a romantic and luxurious atmosphere , with an incomparable Caribbean sunsets. Three bars: Lobby Bar, with a great variety of national and international drinks. The dune, located next to the upper pool, is quiet and cosy. La Langosta, located in the main pool of the hotel. And finally two snacks-bar: The Garden, the favorite place for children with delicious burgers, hot dogs and drinks. And the Patio La Veranda, with delicious light dishes. It also offers a wide variety of activities and watersports such as water aerobics, dance or football on the beach among others. It has two swimming pools and a gym. On the other hand, you can visit the Mayan ruin of Yamil Lu'um, which has access from the hotel. Alternatively, can go to La Isla shopping center, which is across the hotel, in the heart of the hotel zone.

We had a wonderful stay at the Zilara the week after Christmas including New Year's Eve.
I want to take a moment and give a thank you in particular to Zenaida and Enrique at the Casa del Cafe for always taking all my coffee orders (made in bad Spanish) with a smile (assuming, masks and what not but their eyes were smiling) and giving such a friendly greeting whenever they saw me. Oscar J. was fantastic running drinks to our swim-up suite pool so we never had to leave our quiet corner.
I need to give particular thanks to Paulina Balam, who really made sure every aspect of this trip went well from before arrival and during our stay. She arranged for us to purchase our upgraded room (which I highly recommend they have excellent rates), answered all our COVID, New Year's Eve, and Chef's Table questions, and followed up during our stay to make sure we had everything we needed and any issues were promptly addressed.
All the staff were excellent with their COVID measures and room service was really amazingly prompt and accurate, particularly enjoyed the new electronic ordering options which made things fast and accurate. I do hope guests remember to be respectful of the staff and their health as that wasn't always the case. Security staff and hosts were diligent in re-enforcing the safety measures when needed.
The way the resort has adapted Chef's Table to be able to continue the offering was excellent and we felt safe in the more intimate space, and the meal-offering was one of the best we've had at the restaurant. Food, in general, was of superior quality and better even than our last pre-COVID stay.
Thank you for a wonderful stay and we are very much looking forward to coming back again this winter.
First time in Cancun with the boo and we chose the PERFECT hotel to stay at. I absolutely loved it! If i could rate it 6 stars out ofba scale of 1-5 i would. The service was just amazing from entrance to exit and everything in between. The employees( Arturo, Laura, Luis, Hector, Carlos, Eduardo,
Gamboa and many many others) are super duper sweet and kind and attentive in every area and restaurant, especially Spice restaurant. Its a buffet style so i mean you can't go wrong with that. When i come back to Cancun, Zilara will be my first choice. I love their hand to heart gestures just felt genuine. I recommend this hotel for sure. I miss it already!!
10/10 recommend Zilara! It is beautiful, clean, and engaging. So much fun and activities even with Covid restrictions. Amazing views and people. We even received a free room upgrade and bottle of champagne for a birthday surprise.
