The Palace is a luxury hotel at the top of a hill with views over Sliema city and the Mediterranean Sea on the island of Malta. The hotel is steps from Ghar Id-Dud, the nearest sandy stretch of shoreline, and looks out to the capital city, Valletta. There's also a boat-lined harbour within walking distance where you can enjoy a drink or bite to eat at the local bars, restaurants or cafes. The hotel has a contemporary look with modern furniture and statement lights including a grand chandelier in the lobby. There are three restaurants and three bars, some with panoramic views of the coast. The Palace also has two outdoor swimming pools with plenty of places to relax in the sun or the shade. If you fancy a drink during the day, you can use the pool waiter service, so you won't have to get up from your lounger. Over 18s can use the hotel's spa where there's an indoor pool and sauna. You can also book wellness and beauty treatments such as massages, facials and manicures. If you'd like to go exploring, Bizazza Street is a short stroll from the hotel. There you'll find more restaurants and shopping centres selling everything from clothes to souvenirs.
The coastline in this part of the island is rugged with flat rocks rather than beaches but there are sandy stretches of shore such as Balluta Bay, 1km from the hotel. Here you can go swimming, snorkelling or scuba diving. In the heart of Sliema, you'll find boutique shops and high street chains, one of the most popular areas being Bisazza Street, 400m away. For more shopping, Valletta is 1.8km from the hotel and has independent shops and malls with top fashion brands lining the streets that wind down the the town's harbour. There are also restaurants and cafes serving both traditional Maltese cuisine and international dishes.
During the day, the hotel's cafe and pool bar are open with an additional Asian themed bar serving drinks in the evening. You can dine in the continental buffet restaurant or order from the menu in the Asian or continental ‡ la carte restaurants. These also offer outdoor seating with a view of the city.
If you want to work out while you're away, the hotel has a gym and and offers fitness classes for over 18s.
Rooms have a fresh look with cream walls, modern furniture and fabrics in rich colours. There's also a balcony or terrace, air conditioning and a minibar.

Whilst stuck in Malta longer than planned due to covid-19 and could not return to Russia, had the blessing to stay for a few months at this amazing hotel. It was the best hotel experience I've ever had wherever I've been, with respect to facilities, services, benefits, decor, staff friendliness, quality and value-for-money. Particular mention has to be made to the wide selection of food always available for breakfast, the customer service at the Talk of Town and TemptAsian restaurants, the health and spa facilities plus hairdresser service, and the great time I had at the breathtaking outdoor pool in the Summer weekends (and there's an indoor pool and fitness gym too). I could also easily work remotely from the hotel in a very relaxing and peaceful environment. Definitely an awesome experience that helped to keep my mood bright during difficult times. The hotel to stay in; definitely recommended.
Room:
The room was very spacious and stylishly furnished. Superbly comfortable beds and a well-sized table for work. Quiet location, no noisy parties even during the holidays.
Staff:
The friendliest staff out there. Really helpful and making you feel cared for.
Breakfast:
Very decent full English breakfast and fruits. Good coffee - starts off the brain well.
Cafe:
The downstairs cafe is my absolute favourite - great coffees and cocktails. I can especially recommend the seafood basket (you get a whole selection of fried yummies for EUR~15 which is really unexpectedly cheap for the size and the top-quality). My partner fell in love with the desserts and the cheese toasts. Very cool that you can customise your dishes a lot.
Temptasian:
This year it was overlapping with other plans, but usually, we celebrate the New Year there as a tradition - always top-quality menu, spectacular views, and great atmosphere. Also a great place for chatting and having a drink with a view.
Not only is the location great, everything about my stay was impeccable. The room was gorgeous, facilities were excellent, breakfast was delicious and the staff were EXCEPTIONAL. Next time I am in Malta, I will definitely be staying there again. Highly recommend it!
