Me and my boyfriend just got back from three night stay celebrating my partners birthday. The hotel staff were very friendly, smiley and very helpful. As they knew we had an early flight the next day they offered to make us a breakfast to take with us.
Room was a good size, nice comfortable bed with a good power shower. The location was under 5 minute walk to st mark square and right in centre with loads of restaurants and cafes close.
We loved our stay and will definitely go again!
this is a small hotel. The reception staff are very friendly.
There arr no lifts and the stairs are quite steep but for us this was not a problem.
It is perfectly situated near all the main tourist attractions yet retains its intimacy and uniqueness.

We loved this quirky, cosy little hotel in the heart of Venice near S.Marco Square. We had a small room with a comfortable double bed and ensuite shower. It was perfectly adequate for our needs as we were out exploring all day and evening, so it was just somewhere to lay our heads at night. Best of all, it faced the back of the hotel overlooking a little square so we had no problems with noise at all.
The stair case is narrow and there is no lift, so this might be a problem for people with mobility issues, however the staff were friendly and willing to help with cases, etc. Breakfast was basic (coffee, tea, pastries & yoghurt, etc) but perfectly adequate for our needs.
All in all we really enjoyed our visit to Venice in February and would definitely stay at The Orion again as it s in a perfect location, clean & comfortable and good value for money!
