Hotel Eden is set in the heart of the coastal town of Sorrento, in south western Italy. The hotel is designed in a typical Mediterranean style, and has a garden that's dotted with tall palm trees. The closest beach is a short walk away, where there is a traditional lido to lounge on. During the day you can swim and relax in the hotels outdoor pool area, or catch some rays on the sun terrace. If you want a drink, Hotel Eden has a bar in the lobby area. The hotels central location means you can get to a number of bars, restaurants and pizzerias on foot. The most bustling area in Sorrento, Piazza Tasso, is a short walk away, and just behind it you can go shopping along Via San Cesareo. A little further afield, you can visit the Museum Correale, where you'll be able to see paintings, sculptures and ceramics by some of the most famous Neapolitan artists from the 17th and 18th centuries. Steps away from the hotel is Circumvesuviana, a train station that can take you as far as the centre of Naples.
Eden is 50m away from the nearest supermarket, where you can get food, drinks and other holiday essentials. The closest train station is 50m from the hotel. Sorrento town centre is 100m from the hotel, while the nearest beach is 600m away. Here you can get a taste of traditional Italian life by heading to the restaurants for some authentic Campania-style cuisine, look at ancient and medieval relics at the museums, and wander through the market streets of the historical town centre.
Eden has a lobby bar where you can get non-alcoholic and alcoholic drinks throughout the day. You can eat in the breakfast room every morning, and you'll be able to find a number of restaurants serving traditional Neapolitan dishes and other cuisines in the immediate area around the hotel. If you're staying on Half Board, dinner is provided at the traditional restaurant, just outside of the hotel.
Life at Eden centres around its outdoor pool where you can have a refreshing swim. You'll be within easy reach of the attractions on offer in Sorrento, which makes the hotel a good base for exploring the Bay of Naples area.
The rooms at Eden are air conditioned. Each one also comes with a safe, as well as a flatscreen TV with local channels.

We stayed at this hotel last minute having had another holiday cancelled due to the pandemic.
The location is excellent.
The rooms are basic, but generally clean (although we had a blanket with a cigarette burn through).
The shower pressure and temperature is poor and the walls are thin so you can hear people in other rooms.
The two male staff on reception were really helpful and helped us book an excursion by boat to Capri.
Upon returning we requested to book the same boat company for an excursion around the coast to Positano and Amalfi. When questioning the price with the female on reception she informed us that they booked the incorrect tour and that it was by bus and not by boat (which we didn’t want). We requested that this was cancelled and she became very aggressive. At first she refused to give us our money back, and when she did she threw it on to the floor.
I wouldn’t stay here again purely for the service.
If you are looking for a quiet relaxing stay then this is the place for you. The host Michael was fantastic and catered to all our needs. The location is amazing and the swimming pool a bonus. We will be back!
