We has been guests of this structure for a couple of days. First of all the price is high, but is 100% - but it's worth! Top class menu at the restaurants (yes, more than one), 3 swimming pools, beach, chance to rent boats, SPA and other facilities. Wonderful.
We had a superior room, which I would highly recommend. We had a lovely large room with a separate lounge area, spacious bathroom & bedroom and small balcony. We had tea & coffee making facilities, (although I had to beg some milk from the bar!), plus a fridge with complimentary drinks.
Our superior room also meant we got free beach towels plus meant we could use the (outdoor) spa pool, this was amazing! It was so quiet, with the wonderful Valentina patrolling every day, making sure we were well looked after.
We also dined at the Aretusa restaurant, with drinks included at dinner. The food is incredible, very pasta focused which suited us just fine. Plenty of choice, lovely fresh fish cooked on the grill, lovely choice of starters. In the Aretusa there is also a menu of the day which you can order from, which offers something a bit different.
The hotel has a beach, but we weren’t keen as there were a lot of hawkers walking around, plus it was quite noisy with music playing. We did like the sea platform with the steps directly into the sea.
This hotel is very Italian, with lots of Italian guests and very few other nationalities which we really liked. The entertainment is also Italian, which was just fabulous!
The hotel is remote, you cannot walk out and get a bus, but the hotel puts on a coach to Syracuse / Ortigia every morning & afternoon.
We would highly recommend this hotel for a traditional Italian experience.
Don't expect the employees to speak English, this is an Italian hotel for Italians.
However, the facilities were very nice, not sure we would rate it a 4 star resort but as we took it as a last minute deal, it was good.
Would definitely recommend renting a car, parking is very good and the resort is located a good drive from everything.
