The hotel is conveniently located within five minutes' walk from the train station of Florence. I like the fact that the hotel is situated on a small piazza with plenty of restaurants to choose. Breakfast is simple but adequate (they make Italian coffee from machine for you - very nice!).
Overall, if you're travelling to Florence by train and would like a decent place to stay near the station, this could be one of the options for you.
This hotel is a in a wonderful / convenient location. You can walk to just about anywhere from here. The breakfast was a perfectly Italian continent one, with great cappuccinos. Would definitely recommend and go back when visiting Florence
This hotel is in a very convenient location, a 5 minute walk from the train station and situated in a square surrounded by plenty of restaurants and cafes, with a variety of stores and tourist attractions within walking distance.
We stayed on the 4th floor with a beautiful view down onto the Santa Maria Novella square and into the distance of the Tuscan landscape. Loads of fresh air and sunlight comes through the windows but the square can get quite loud - not a problem for people who don’t mind the atmosphere!
The room we had was clean and large enough to feel comfortable and move around in, was quite basic (no USB charging ports or safe) and was only lit by lamps (and natural light which is great). The bathroom is quite narrow, and the room only has one mirror which is over the vanity. The water pressure in the shower is also pretty low and seems to decrease if your neighbours are using the water too. Basically if you’re high maintenance about getting ready or the way you look, you probably need to look for more than a 3 star hotel.
The lift is quite small with a maximum capacity of 4 people (or 2 people with luggage) and it can be hard to catch at times if people on the lower floors press the button as its coming up to you. If you can take the stairs down you might as well.
The breakfast room is small but effective, as is the range of food - mostly cereals, fruit and pastries but hey, it’ll sustain you.
If you’re the type of person who’s only really using the room to shower and sleep then it’s perfect fine for a few days of exploring the city!
