The receptionist was so nice to upgrade our room with a kitchenette - which was equipped with a microwave, fridge, stove, cutleries, coffee/tea etc. Very convenient if you want to save some bucks from always eating outside (it is ultra expensive there! 3x from the prices we have in Berlin). It so central that you literally can just walk to see some of the tourists spots. I have included some pics of the things you will see with just few steps from the hotel. Recommended!
Our airline today cancelled our Wednesday flight to Reykjavik. I phoned the hotel and spoke to a lady called Dalia who told me that they would give us credit for our rooms if Expedia or our travel insurance did not pay out. We have a year to use it. She made no fuss about it and was totally understanding. So once this horrible coronavirus is all over, we will definitely go to Reykjavik and definitely book there. Nice one!
Just got back from our stay here, very happy with our choice of accommodation. On arrival we were informed that due to us being on our honeymoon we had been upgraded to a room with a balcony, this was obviously a lovely surprise. The view from our room was fantastic, even more so at night. I was amazed at how quiet the room was given that we were right in the middle of the city. The complimentary coffee machine in reception was certainly welcome after trips out on a cold day. We weren't aware when we booked that breakfast wasn't served on site but that didn't bother us as it was only 2 minutes walk around the corner and it was perfect
