This was our 1st night in Reykjavík. Our plane was delayed over 3 hours, so by the time we arrived it was just before midnight. We were beyond tired, & so appreciative of our warm welcome. Our room was extremely comfortable & clean. Breakfast was good. Only regret is we wished we had more time to enjoy this hotel & remembering the names of the wonderful staff to be able to thank them personally. We highly recommend Reykjavík Lights to anyone visiting this beautiful country ❤️
After having our flight cancelled due to high winds we had to cut our trip short by one day. This impacted our say at the lights hotel, despite advising them as soon as we were made aware of the change they refused to even partly refund our trip with over 24h notice. This affected another hotel stay which we gave them literally no notice (we were at the hotel at the time) and they credited us our whole stay. For this reason i would not recommend and will never go to this hotel in the future.
Breathtaking views, friendly staff, good location. This hotel runs many various trips, along with advice on any facts needed. Plenty of choice nearby for food and not far to centre of Reykjavik. This was a perfect base for us, from where we visited three days worth of very full visiting including hot springs, fantastic waterfalls (some spectacular frozen ones), hot geysers, teutonic plates, earthquake sites, and treks into a solid ice glacier between snow covered mountains followed by a meal in the mountains.
Wonderful.
